“Fantastic staff, made us feel so welcome, such a difference from the large 'chain' hotels. Breakfast was great, and the hotel was conveniently located for Alton Towers. Thoroughly recommended”
“Well located hotel with a wonderful staff. The Rooms are well cept with only some small things to fix to be spotless.
The cleaning good but a bit slow.
The breakfast tasted good but was a bit smal compare to bigger hotels. Don't forget to ask for the type of eggs you like!”
“We will never stay onsite at Alton Towers again if this property is available! Closer to the park entrance than hotels, no need to battle the monorail crowds.
Georgina the owner was extremely friendly & her communication for check in was excellent. The home itself was newly renovated to an exceptionally high standard. Perfectly clean with all the amenities provided for a short stay. Highly recommended and we will definitely be booking again if lucky to find it available.”
“L'hôtel est une belle et grande maison au milieu de la campagne, tres accessibke en voiture et bien desservie par Uber. La gare est a 20 mn de voiture avec des liaisons regulieres pour Londres, en 90 mn. Tres bon emplacement pour des vacances au calme. Le petit dejeuner est délicieux. ”
“I really enjoyed my stay here. Its perfect if you are working away etc. Spacious accommodation with a nice shower and you can park right outside your chalet. I had a great night's sleep. No complaints”
“The Japanese hot tub is the main reason we stay here, as my partner loves it. The beds are huge, the food is pretty good, and it’s a nice base for a day out. Parking can be a bit awkward, and it’s quite a steep walk into town.”
“Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent and couldn’t fault it.
Check-in was spot on—friendly, genuine, and brilliant with our kids (colouring pack + cookies went down a treat). Room was spacious with sofa beds already set up, which made life easy straight away.
Breakfast was excellent—loads of choice and constantly topped up. Just book ahead as it gets busy.
Great for families. Would definitely stay again.”
“Staff, great, breakfast was nice and value for money.
The place needs some TLC but this is reflected in the price.
Would I stay here again? Yes I would.”
“Very clean and sufficient for my needs for a one night stop over. Single room. Some issues with a door to the bathroom, but problem resolved swiftly even late at night. Hong, the manager/owner? of the facility was very helpful and resolved the problem swiftly and with good natured manner. Would recommend to others, on the basis of the room I used.”
“A little bit like staying at Grandma's house in the decor. I would like to request that the locks on the doors are upgraded - the current single lock without deadbolt does not feel very secure. Breakfast buffet was small and delivery of hot breakfasts seemed a little slow.
But was a pleasant enough stay.”
“A great place, the stable room(s) weee huge, superb value for money with a fully fitted kitchen and big lounge, large bedroom and huge bathroom. It’s 100 yards from the Tissington Trail. Any issues the staff were incredibly helpful in sorting. Will stay again.”
