Venice and related destinations
Glide through shimmering canals on a gondola while Renaissance palaces rise from the water like architectural magic tricks. St. Mark's Square buzzes with café life beneath the Byzantine splendor of its basilica. The Grand Canal presents a parade of palazzos best viewed from the Rialto Bridge, where merchants have haggled for centuries. Lose yourself in narrow calli where laundry flutters overhead and tiny bacari serve cicchetti with glasses of local prosecco. The Doge's Palace reveals opulent rooms where Venetian rulers once plotted their maritime empire. Teatro La Fenice offers world-class opera in a setting that has literally risen from the ashes multiple times.

Unahotels Ala Venezia - Adults Only
"This Hotel was everything We were looking for plus more. Great front desk service. Comfortable room with air conditioning. A bar to have a night cap. And a very yummy breakfast every day. Very close to water taxi."
Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo
"The hotel was in a good location, the staff was friendly and they had a good breakfast. However the breakfast room was full of mosquitoes and the entire floor we stayed in smelled strongly like cigarettes even though it’s non-smoking and my wife had trouble sleeping due to the noise outside."
Venezia Palazzo Barocci
"Location is good, staff is helpful. Breakfast not bad."
Hotel Montecarlo
"I loved staying at this hotel. Everything was perfect from the very moment we set foot in Venice. I definitely recommend this hotel. Is within walking distance of everything around in Venice."
Colombina Hotel
"We enjoyed the quiet environment and convenient location to beautiful canals and San Marco Square. We enjoyed the coffee maker in our room and complimentary water to cool down after experiencing the heat of the city. The staff were helpful with recommendations for places to eat and transportation requests. Highly recommend."
Hyatt Centric Murano Venice
"Amazing property and amazing staff. Very convenient and very well kept. 5 stars for all."
Carnival Palace Hotel
"Hotel was very nice, great buffet breakfast. It is not in the popular San Marco area but in a quieter area. Still convenient to walk or take public water bus to other areas, if needed. Hotel staff is very friendly & lots of local restaurants in area close to hotel. Highly recommend!!"
B&B HOTEL Venezia Laguna
"Wish there was an ironing board in the rooms for clothes and room service! But otherwise literally perfect, will be back for sure."
Hotel Diana
"It’s a perfectly fine Pensione-type hotel. A bit basic, and could use some updating and repairs, but the the AC worked, there was plenty of hot water, the window opens to a lovely view of Venetian rooftops, the breakfast was generous, and it’s just half a block from San Marco so it couldn’t be more convenient. One thing to note: the front door was locked and there was nobody at reception when we arrived to check in. Turns out checking in and out is done at the Hotel Panada, across the lane, which is also where breakfast is served. That was not mentioned anywhere in my reservation confirmation or the Hotels.com listing. So I had to look up the phone number listed in the reservation and and make a call, and luckily they answered and told us to come over to the other hotel. If I had know that in advance it would have saved a few minutes of panic."
