We have stayed in this hotel several times before, having family in this quaint and quiet city in Veneto. The hotel is family owned and run. The staff cannot be any nicer! The hotel is small but super clean. Breakfast is included and it is awesome! There is a public bus in the San Dona terminal (a short walk from the hotel) that takes you right into Venice. I recommend the Hotel Forte del 48!
Best hotel I have stayed at in quite some time. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The homemade bread was excellent. The room was bigger than expected and the beds were comfortable. We stayed here to get away from the crowds at Venice and could not have picked a more relaxing area. The river runs right next to it. The town has a train station with a direct route to Venice. Hotel is very close to the main train station of Quatro D'Altino. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from that train station to main Venezia St Lucia and also provides the train tickets (Return trips) all for a total of 20 Euro's for 2 people. The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms look old in the photos and that could not be further from reality. The rooms are freshly renovated and the motif makes them appear in photos to have faded paint and furnishings, this is due to the color aesthetic not coming through in the pictures.
This is a charming hotel. It is in a great location near shops and restaurants. On the other hand there is no “traffic” noise because it is located on a a small alley. My inability to speak Italian was not a problem.
It was very easy to get to the property by waterbus taxi. The waterbus taxi stand is just several feet away. The room and bathroom was beautiful and spacious; with a canal view!! The staff was very nice and professional!

This hotel was excellent! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean. We would definitely use this hotel again if we ever came back to Venice. It is close to Saint Marks Square and lots of shopping is available.

It is such a wonderful place. I've been there twice now and it truly feels like home. The staff is just so incredibly skilled, professional, helpful and friendly and the bedrooms are so beautifully decorated and comfortable.
