The Medina's maze-like alleys burst with sights, sounds, and smells that hit all your senses at once. Snake charmers and storytellers entertain crowds at Jemaa el-Fnaa square while shoppers haggle over colorful textiles and spices in the ancient souks. The towering Koutoubia Mosque minaret watches over this UNESCO site where ornate palaces hide behind unassuming clay walls.
Rooftop restaurants serve fragrant tagines with views across the terra-cotta cityscape. Traditional riads offer peaceful courtyard accommodations away from the bustling marketplace. Walking is the only way to navigate the narrow passages, though petit taxis wait at the main gates for when your feet need a break.
Gueliz brings Marrakech's cosmopolitan side to life with a delightful mix of French colonial charm and modern Moroccan flair. This is definitely not your budget-friendly corner of the city. Expect high-end dining where reservations are a must and hotel options that pamper you with pools and spa services. Walking between attractions is a breeze on wide, manicured boulevards that keep you away from the Medina's hustle.
Step into the Kasbah, where Marrakech's storied past comes alive through winding lanes and ancient walls. Explore the exquisitely carved Saadian Tombs or marvel at the ornate gates of the Royal Palace. The neighborhood's smaller souks offer authentic Moroccan crafts without the crowds of the main medina. Local riads showcase traditional Berber and Arabic influences at every turn.
Traditional restaurants serve aromatic tagines in centuries-old courtyards while hammams provide authentic bathing experiences. Zora was amazing, as was the rest of the staff. The hotel is absolute perfection. Located right in the heart of the old Jewish quarter of Marrakech, it’s the perfect blend of modern luxury and authentic Moroccan charm.
The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with all the authenticity and character of Moroccan architecture and design. The food at the restaurant was also fantastic. An absolutely beautiful stay!
Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. Beautiful riad inside the marketplace in Marrakesh - but NO noise at all from outside. Staff were amazing; every request handled immediately with great attention to detail, and wonderful warmth and courtesy. They truly cared about making every guest feel welcome. The breakfast, which we had served to us on the rooftop, each day, was a great variety of tastes and textures - freshly made. Our toom accomodation was a two floor "apartment", with beautiful...
Riad Livia was one of the highlights of my trip to Marrakech. The breakfast was outstanding, and the rooftop was absolutely my favorite part—I found myself wanting to stay there instead of going out because it was so peaceful and beautiful.
A special thank you to Youssef and Simo, who went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their hospitality truly made a difference.
The location is also perfect: about a 10-minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, close enough to...

I had a wonderful time at Riad Tawargit on my stay June 8 to June 11, 2019, at the top room. The Riad is located close to the markets and souks. It is a short walk and gave me no problems. The staff was very accommodating, and the breakfast each morning was a great start to the day. My room was very clean and the amenities are updated (great rainfall shower in my bathroom plus a towel heater which I always appreciate). AC in the rooms. The details in the windows/ shutters are so beautiful. And...

We stayed 5 nights at this Riad and loved it. The staff--especially the manager Hassan--are excellent; it is on a peaceful side alley in Kasbah, walking distance to everything. They serve dinner (and wine). Nice roof terrace on which to chill out.
Great small hotel. In an authentic Moroccan house. Rooms are very clean and have a lot of space while service is 5 stars. The British and Moroccan crew is doing anything they can to make your stay comfortable and nice. I will certainly come back!
Hotel in a great location, amazing staff, especially Suqina, charming and kind, always with a smile, Mohammed, a charming and kind man.
This is part of the magic of Morocco: good people and excellent service.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
