DAKU ISLAND in SIARGAO, Philippines is one of the stops on the islands tour which includes the islands of GUYAM, NAKED and DAKU and is usually the last and furthest stop although still only about 20 mins by boat from the dock in General Luna. "I really liked the Retreat. My room was really a large apartment. Spacious with full length windows on two sides overlooking the sea, gardens and swimming pool. Nice restaurant area with idiosyncratic Korean inspired food. At fist I thought the room was a little rustic but that was due to customs built furniture pointed dark brown. In fact the facilities were bang up to date - separate toilet, basin and shower areas modern TV and good broadband. The beach was not really suitable for sandcastles and baying but scenic. "
