This motel is located at a service area so it is easy to park and to get petrol. It was well kept.

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely, the breakfasts amazing, the staff always happy to help and the location just off the A590 was perfect for exploring the whole Lake District. My only rejoinder was that the stairs to the rooms are a little challenging for someone like me who is mobility impaired. Additional banisters and/or handles would greatly help but I managed overall and we were very happy with our stay. Evening meals were exceptional too. Another excellent dog friendly stay at the Gateway. Staff were welcoming to us and our dogs (they weren't just tolerated). Our room was lovely, perfect temperature (we stayed September), decorated smartly and cleaned well with thoughtful extras like pillow chocolates. The English Lakes toiletries in the bathroom were luxurious and the bed comfortable. We didn't have breakfast this time due to plans but the evening meals were absolutely gorgeous as always. Lovely hotel. Staff were wonderful. I was traveling alone with my pet. Hotel was very pet friendly. Bed was fantastic.

Great hotel opposite the train station and within easy walking distance to the town centre. The room had everything you needed, a comfy bed and a lovely bath to relax in. The breakfast was varied and the hot food was individually cooked for you. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

I stay here frequently and it is always a great experience. Friendly, professional staff, excellent food and a great location. I am always happy to introduce friends to the hotel. Of course being able to walk to the farm shop is a bonus.

The Watermill is an old school gem in a beautiful area of the UK. they brew their own beer in this quaint and cozy area full of hills and streams.

We were just in town for the night, but we adored this quaint inn and town. The room was modern, comfortable, and had everything you would need. The traditional breakfast (plus so many other options) was delicious with a great variety. We also ate dinner in the Red Dragon Pub the night before and were impressed by the service, food, and atmosphere. Come for the town and the Red Dragon Inn!

Stayed in the Parisian suite. Absolutely gorgeous. Will book again and will try another room because they all look fab.

After a busy week exploring Scotland, my boyfriend and I decided to make a stop for a couple of day in the quiet town of Windermere to get some rest and relaxation before continuing onto our busy adventures down in London. Jericho was just what we needed. The entire place was beautifully decorated and very very well kept. Our room was so cozy (but spacious) and luxurious--I probably could have just moved in.
