Everything was over my expectations from cleanliness to amenities and staff

My wife and stayed at Masseria La Chiusa for a long weekend a few weeks ago (September 2015). While the hotel and its rustic surroundings were lovely, the thing that sets apart this spot is the super helpful staff. We arrived quite late on a Saturday night, but the staff was able to prepare a dinner for us and relocate us to a room that they thought we would like better (the new room had a terrace overlooking the valley) all the same. Very big room and right in the middle of historic Palermo with all the shops and dinning. Also, great made to order Breakfast each day from a very helpful staff.

Very lovely property with very helpful staff. It is a bit of a walk away from town center but there is nearby shopping and restaurants. Although we were on a corner and had two streets below us, we found the room quiet at night. Air conditioning worked perfectly.

Our hosts were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and where/ when to catch the train to Cefalu. The breakfasts were delicious, and the location was close to the center of town. I would not recommend driving in Palermo.

Loved the place. It’s beautiful, clean, and couldn’t be in a better location. Arrival by car was excellent with valet parking service. The owner personally welcomed us and made us feel relaxed, explained everything well, and gave us great recommendations for Palermo. The only thing that was not great is that we were 15 mins late to check out (at 11:15) and the person at the front desk made a big deal about that. Highly recommend the property. We had a nice and large modern room with a/c and heat. Kettle and tea. 10 minutes to train station Centrale, where you can also take the airport shuttle and buses to everywhere. Breakfast on rooftop with spectacular views. Everything touristic easily walkable, restaurants galore. The only issue for some people would be that you have to walk up to the third floor, no elevator in the old palazzo. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were not disappointed...

Excellent B&B near center of town. Clean, comfortable rooms. Fannie and other staff are outstanding.

This property is an oasis of quiet in a noisy city. The private garden is beautifully landscaped with a small swimming pool. Our room and bathroom were surprisingly large, with high ceilings. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Staff is helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

The property is gorgeous and the building is very well maintained. The seaview to the harbor and ocean is serene. There is no noise from the marina or harbor. Staff was very attentive. The rooms were not missing anything. They were generously outfitted with robes, pool sandals, pool bag etc. we had a very memorable stay.

It was amazing, and we wished we could have stayed longer! The front desk staff we extremely friendly and professional, the room had an incredible view and the breakfast was one of the best we had in Sicily.

Our room was beautiful. The staff were very attentive. The food was great. And, it was in easy walking distance of the historical part of the city!

Luca and Maria are wonderful: helpful, knowledgeable and accomodating. The pool and spa are a delight after a day of touring the city in the heat. The rooms are large and clean. We had a great stay.

Every staff member was helpful and friendly.

One of the very best places we have stayed anyware in the Americas or Europee. Great breakfast. Wonderful people.
