"Comfortable bed, disappointed there was no en-suite, the towels were not soft and fluffey."

"I would class this hotel as ‘olde worlde’….. So anyone wanting modern it probably isn’t for you. Lots of interesting passages and stairs, and flagstone floors add to the atmosphere. Shower and bathroom very clean, TV, excellant, tea and coffee available in rooms. Breakfast ok, I wouldn’t say outstanding. Rather solid scrambled egg, bacon had obviously been cooked a little while and was tough. Coffee, brought in a jug was always lukewarm warm by the time I got to it! Evening menu very restricted., so I only had two dinners out of four. The staff were pleasant, but seemed a bit disorganised on occasions. I wouldn’t stay again, despite it being very easy to access Glorious Trebarwith Strand."

"Breakfast superb! Wonderful menu.. Staff were very attentive...The bedrooms (3 and 4) were up steep stairs, they were a good size with comfy beds and the bedding ws excellnt . Only fault was that neither room had a working bedside lamp.. That was disappointing as we were unable to read in bed... We told the cleaner as we were leaving that 4 light bulbs needed replacing. The Crooked Inn has great charm but rooms need checking before guests arrive! More attention to detail needed! "

"A really lovely hotel with lots of thoughtful touches. Stylish very comfortable room with generous balcony overlooking the sea (and seat cushions for the balcony chairs). Our room was very well equipped and we welcomed the fresh milk and complimentary water in the fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, nice restaurant with good dinner choices and very generous breakfast. Free parking also."

"We stayed in the turret amd lived it's space and quirkiness. The hotel itself is lovely and keeps you fit as there are quite a few stairs, depending on where you're staying but it's decor and style is beautiful and we loved to read about it's history. Mat was so friendly and helpful and welcomed us warmly and ensured we got a parking space before helping us take our bags to our room. We ate out with family but came back to enjoy a cocktail in the bar, whilst listening to Shanty Sam. Breakfast was superb with every element full of flavour and cooked to perfection, which is unusual as with most cooled breakfasts, you normally find one thing overcooked/not tasty, etc but we enjoyed every bit of it. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back again another time."
