Hotels in Poquoson

"Unfortunately this was not a good stay for me. It was my graduation weekend and nothing was up to par. For one, the hot tub was out of order and the pool was freezing cold. It was booked that hotel purposely for hot tub, so it was very disappointing. For second, the air conditioning the first night was terrible. We had to open a window. A mechanic came the next day but had to go in and out our room; very uncomfortable. Lastly, the hotels restaurant “Bristo” closed so we weren’t able to get food when the sign says closed at 10. We were told “if it’s not busy, we close down early”. It was just a weekend of unfortunate events. "

"We arrived at the hotel, check in was a little concerning. There was an issue with the terminal, and our card was inadvertently charged twice. We went back to the desk after going to our room and realizing the error. When we approached the gentleman at the desk (not the same individual which checked us in), he was adamant the error did not occur. Of course we weren't going to let that go. No worries, the next morning, we approached the manager with the same issue, and he quickly rectified the situation with an apology and refund for the overpayment. Breakfast was great, parking was secure and the hotel and grounds were clean."

"We only stayed 1 night to attend a banquet being held locally, the room was quite large and easily accommodated 4 adult women with a sitting room which was an added bonus. The elevators were quite loud and felt shaky but worked fine. The front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful."

"Look, if you're just looking for a place to crash/sleep when visiting Williamsburg and aren't too picky, or a "Karen", this place will suffice. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere. The property overall does not match the outside façade or lobby. The room was typical hotel "meh"...nothing exceptionally good OR bad about it. The "Continental" breakfast ended up just being orange juice and coffee. But the only real, legitimate complaints I can offer are that the pool water desperately needed a shock treatment and the hot tub water was NOT acceptable whatsoever. I'd have been fine without a hot tub at all, but if you're going to have one in your facility and brag about it, it needs to be maintained, cleaned, and treated properly. Overall, nothing except "first-world"/"luxe" problems to report. Otherwise, it IS a safe place to sleep."
