"Hostel itself is very good with everything needed for a good stay. The road leading to the hostel however is almost unsuitable for vehicles and this is not mentioned when booking. Almost 1 mile of rough terrain is enough to cause significant damage."

Big bedroom with great views, amazing food in the restaurant, kind and helpful staff, and the spa was incredible after a day of browsing the local towns and some walks around the lakes. Perfect central location too as a base for our trip, with easy access south to Ambleside and Windermere or north to Keswick and across towards buttermere. A luxurious stay that made our trip complete."

"2nd time stayed here and had the same lovely room. Stayed in dog friendly room no. 1 with lovely huge bay window overlooking Loughrigg. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Looked after our dog with lovely sausages. Great location for hiking and bars/shops/restaurants and very good price. Great atmosphere in the bar area and lovely breakfast. Payable car park not far from accommodation."
