"Stayed here after seeing Fontaines DC in Wythenshawe park, we walked back (which turned out to be much quicker than queueing for a taxi or public transport after the gig!) the area it is situated in was a very quiet residential area and felt safe. The hotel itself was super clean, spacious and comfortable and the staff were really pleasant and helpful both when we arrived and at breakfast the following morning, which was also really good. "The Normanhurst is starting to look very tired and a bit run down, having said that the room was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. Parking was good, the location is great and pricing was better than the competitor hotels nearby."

"The house was under refurbishment and new ownership but this did not affect my stay at all. It is well placed for trams and rail links, and main roads. I was able to travel in from Chester area and around South Manchester without going into the centre of town. Lovely walks along the Bridgewater Canal and plenty of places to get a bit of shopping nearby. Very comfortable and well furnished, reasonably priced, a welcome change from hotel chains with no individual character. Would recommend."

When we arrived the fridge was not turned on so we could not refrigerate anything for several hours, the doors were left closed so when opened the fridge smelled awful & very unhygienic. For the price we paid for a quick visit to Manchester it was good value. In a nice area and got parked no probs."
