to where I was staying for my very first time. One of the owners of the Guest House named Richard who can not only whip up a scrumptious breakfast, conversing with him in learning more about the surroundings and to how he and his wife Pam came to running a gorgeous Guest House.

We paid quite a lot over the usual rate for this room due to The Eagles playing in Manchester so it’s hard to say it was good value for money, especially as it didn’t include breakfast and there is currently no restaurant. "Truly lovely hotel. Pool is amazing. Very convenient location for shopping. The only drawbacks were the extreme firmness of the bed and the really noisy elevator announcements that go on all night. I had ear plugs so wasn’t overly bothered by the latter. Kitchen is very well equipped with a full size fridge/freezer and the coffee machine is a lovely

They decided to remodel the bar whilst us and a few other couples were having a pre dinner drink. Chairs and tables scraping across the floor isn’t very 5 star.
Would stay again but avoid the in house bar. Plenty of nice places outside the hotel to visit. "

On a very cold night it was great to step into a lovely , cosy warm room . Good nights sleep and a great breakfast.

"Staff and restaurant very nice, rooms are dated. We stayed in an Exec Room which we felt was on the small side, it didn't feel like an upgrade from a classic room.
Tea/Coffee and water in the room is complimentary, everything else is chargable.

The layout of room was ideal for me as I was travelling for work and found the kitchenette a great addition, as mentioned on other reviews there is a minibar/fridge which is stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks and chocolates. "Mere Brook is a lovely place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was self service but everything was fresh and well stocked.
We travelled in for a football match and very easy to get into Liverpool. Probably better than going in via the M62.
Will definitely book again and highly recommended."
