We really enjoyed our stay at Hamiltons while in Southend-on-sea. The B&B was beautifully renovated. Our room (Lady H) was fairly spacious with a nice ensuite bath and closet space. Breakfast included a nice counter of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, and juices each morning; hot options were also available. Debbi was so sweet to make sure we had all we needed during our stay. Our room had a small TV and DVD player (a library of DVDs to borrow is just downstairs). I was glad to have a hair dryer as...
Great place to stay but you need a car to go to nearby places of interest. Due to "covid" the management have used what used to be the car park in front of the Pub with outside seating leaving only space for 1 car. There is however no parking restrictions along the section of road it is in. It only has 4 rooms and we got room number 4, it has obviously been recently refurbished and was very nice. Had a decent size toilet/ sink / shower room. not a problem for us but if you can not climb...
We had a fabulous experience at Channels Lodge. The location in a peaceful country setting, the room with up-to-date facilities and clean, well appointed and lots of electrical connections. The staff so welcoming. From this time on this will be our destination when we visit relatives nearby.
Perfect stay with the perfect amount of space. We have family nearby and this was a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast hamper was a great plus!
We will be booking again in the future.
We stayed one night, our room was upgraded at no charge which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy. We had dinner in the restaurant with friends
The food was fabulous, the staff very attentive and friendly. An excellent stay, we will return and absolutely recommend.
Admittedly we where a bit suspicious when we couldn’t contact the staff the day before or even early on the dag of arrival but then on things went very smoothly indeed. The room was perfekt and we didn’t object to the air condition a bit in the sweltering heat. The view feromon our window over the old Thames barges were soothing if you’ll excuse the expression. Before check in and moving in we had a nice cold seafood platter. We were not hungry for the rest of the rest of the day.
The next day we...
