Like a lot of the hotels this place does not look like much from outside but is beautiful inside. Has wonderful common areas and full shared kitchen. This is located in centro which predominantly local authentic culture. Centro is cited as more affordable. It is busy and very few non-local (Mexican) eatery options. Hotel was beautiful quiet and very exclusive, only thing was very slippery coming out of the shower. My husband slipped and almost hit his head on the edge of the tiled floor.
I booked Tabachin last minute the day before we were scheduled to stay. It was mainly out of necessity as there were three of us traveling and we needed two beds. Chila is friendly town close to some beautiful beaches and close enough to puerto Escondido. I also enjoyed spending time on the Chila River. Perfect for my dogs.
The property management were very nice and accommodating. I did not read the check in instructions beforehand, and didn’t realize there is no staff at check in. It’s done remotely and they were able to quickly help me get into the hotel, despite the fact that I wasn’t prepared beforehand. The plants on site and in the courtyard were very beautiful!
