One of our favorite hotel experiences ever!! The hotel itself is understated luxury with subtle mid century decor and elements. The pool and spa with additional indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and gym were beautiful and really were a huge perk. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and courteous. We can’t wait to visit again. Also, the wine that comes from the hotel’s vineyard was the best red wine we had on our trip. You won’t be disappointed staying here!...

Great place to relax and experience the wine country. The dinner, port tour and port tasting was a special treat and the morning breakfast excellent. It was great walking the grape fields or just sitting under the fig trees outside the 16th century manor.

Room offered a lovely view of the Douro and passing trains and ships. Staff was courteous and offered helpful suggestions. Parking was provided and the location was convenient to quintas in the area. Breakfast selections were quite ample and delicious. The tawny port gift bottle was an unexpected treat!

We had a fantastic stay. It was low season and the owners treated us like family. The food was great, the room was nice though so be aware the open concept means the shower and toilet are basically in the same room.
My family (2 adults, 1 child) really enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and rich culture and history of this part of the Douro Valley. Maria was a wonderful host, and she was especially helpful in finding a particular, fairly new viewpoint in the Douro Valley and just in providing helpful information for things to do and things to eat.
We really want to come back when we choose to visit Portugal again in the future.
This property is not only historic but recently updated to freshen it up. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the views cannot be beat. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wine-centered place to stay in Lamego!
Our stay at Quinta Da Marka was exceptional. This centuries-old vineyard overlooks the Douro River, with sweeping views in every direction. The accommodations are a newer addition and include seven comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Guests can also enjoy the pool, scenic river-view terraces, and walking paths through the vineyard. We had a very nice stay here. The property is small, so it is quiet (I believe only a total of 4 rooms). The views from the property are immaculate. There are such pretty views of the duoro river. In the morning, a homemade breakfast of eggs, meats, and fresh fruits is available.
I will say that it is not possible to walk from the property to any restaurants or wineries, but taxis seems to be readily available.
