Hotel Belvedere has a one of a kind island setting within Lake Maggiore. Our balcony view was terrific and so spacious. Windows all around made the room very cheerful. The experience alone makes this place unforgettable. We easily caught a boat from Stresa and were able to park our car right at the Stresa boat dock, so logistics were simple. Very nice hotel on the Lago Maggiore in Verbania! Staff was super kind to find the right room for my mother that is 82 and has mobility issues ! The area is very nice calm with many restaurants and cafe around . Great location of the hotel and from there you can also take the little ferries to visit all the Lake’s Town and little islands !

I stayed at Hotel Splendid for several days at the end of August. Everything about the place and my stay was truly splendid. Enchanting family run hotel. Would have stayed longer if we would have known how nice it was. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Spacious rooms. Excellent location. The hotel made reservations for us to dine on Isola Pescodore Island. We were picked up in front of the hotel, steps away from the marina and ferries in a private boat at no charge. Had a delicious meal with a view to the ocean and the sun setting. Free ample car parking and free lobby wifi.

Staff was very accommodating, courteous, and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Stayed a week and it felt like home! Large pool, and gym. Which were clean and very usuable. There was a horse track across the street, but it was not loud and it did not dictract me from my sleep.

We stayed at the Astroria 5 years ago and likes it so much we came back. The hotel has old school charm while providing fantastic service. The staff are wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful view of the lake and it is a 5 minute walk to the hiatpric center, where you can find restaurants and shops. It is also a perfect place to take day trips. It is an easy 1.5 hours drive.

This is a beautiful historic warm and welcoming grand, yet friendly and comfortable, hotel. The staff was so very accommodating and everyone was happy and nice. Even though we don’t speak Italian, the staff always had someone who spoke English. Rooms are a bit small but you have to understand that this is an old hotel. Lovely hotel in spectacular location on lake Lugano. Art center, historic sites, restaurants, and shopping within easy walking distance. Hotel breakfast, pool, and common areas were exceptional and staff were super helpful and friendly.

This was both the least expensive and our favorite hotel of a two week trip. Quaint, clean, with a lovely lobby, lounge, and dining area. Rooms were of a nice size with absolutely no flaw that we could see. Franco and Michaela hosted us with grace and just the right amount of attention. We departed as fast friends.
