"Pros: 10 minutes walk to downtown. Affordable. Small kitchenette nice to have. Owner is helpful when can be reached. Ac and heater. Cons: squeaky old mattress. Non cotton sheets. Skin Drying soaps and shampoo. Texting owner has no answer. Office locked most of the time and have to call owner to get in for water and ice. Ask for room that not facing main road when reserving to avoid road noise."

"Beautiful and peaceful setting, so restful. I lived the creek and all the outdoor seating. The property owner was very nice and welcoming. The yurt was a unique experience and it was cozy and beautiful. The soaking tub was luxurious. The only hard thing was that it is a little far from the main house and the bathroom facilities. Also, it was noisy from the traffic, but thank goodness they provided earplugs. It’s very convenient and close to downtown Nevada City."

"The upside is: the hotel is in a beautifully restored, historic building centrally located in downtown Grass Valley.. The downside is a lack of amenities. The included breakfast was bare bones - no fruit, no juice, no cereal/oatmeal, no yogurt, just coffee/tea, mini scones & a vegetable fritta that was dry & bland. Since it's an historic hotel, there isn't a workout room, and, not a single tv in the entire hotel - not even in the bar area. Finally, the hotel seemed to be understaffed as many times the front desk was unattended because that person had to cover another areas of the hotel, i.e., servicing the breakfast area, delivering supplies to hotel guests, etc.. The restaurant & bar were well run with customer focused staff."
