You can't see Mattoon from the hotel but you should check it out. Nice parks. The next exit has plenty of dining and shopping and the new sports facilities.

I have find memories of Matoon. It's a cute little burg - there is nothing there but the Honey Bee - but I like it.
"The price was very affordable as a on the road stop from driving 11 hours. Loved the hot tub. Loved that there were so many restaurants nearby to choose from. The front desk clerk was very friendly and so helpful. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a country inn and suites before but I plan to stay at more if they’re all like this one. "
