We did not get to spend a lot of time in Santee, we did take advantage of car wash to get northern salt off and did enjoy Amadoro Mexican Restaurant which we just found accidentally, a real find, delicious and friendly

I've stayed in santee before, but have never ventured out to see what was actually there. I travel the interstate so I don't stay long. It looks like it must have some cool nature to see? But otherwise, Santee doesn't have much to do.

I love the Santee area. It is a halfway point for family. We enjoy it. The LoneStar BBQ is still operating. That is one of my favorite places.

Santee is just a little strip of stores.But it has that old country feel nice place to visit.
"Loved this hotel. The staff could not be friendlier and helpful. The room was immaculate, and the layout was unique and spacious. The water pressure was very good (I love a good shower) and the beds were quite comfortable. I did have an issue with the thermostat - it seemed to go on auto pilot in the middle of the night. But that may have been user error. Front desk recommendation for dinner was perfect."
