With canadas Sault st marie boasting a city with 100,000 plus people this tiny michigan town that would usually have the same isolated remote vibes of the rest of rural michigan is refreshingly cultured and open. Sault st marie is on my top 5!

I've been going there for years (ever since mid 60's. I'm 77 now. The Soo is always great and we love their 4th fireworks and parade. Try to make it every year. People are wonderful.

Loved the Soo Locks and the boat ride through the locks. Otherwise, not much to see or do and limited decent restaurants.

Great tourist shops along the street and right across the street from the Sault Locks.
"Good for a economic choice. Room clean. Only problem was that the outlets were too far from the bed. I didn't have a extension cord to plug in phone and CPAP "
"Breakfast was delicious! So many options and hot food!. Rooms were clean. The hotel itself is older and they are trying to remodel and upgrade. Pool was okay. Beds were okay, not the greatest. Staff was helpful. "
"Hotel was very nice. Room was small but the bed was clean and comfortable. The room was quiet, didnt hear other travelers. Over all, pretty good trip."

"Check in was fast. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Friendly staff. Furniture was not worn as others stated, but just fine. I stayed on the 3rd floor. Next to park and close to all the downtown restaurants and bars. Nice cigar lounge half a mile away also."
"The king size bed is very comfortable. Really good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast buffet is very good, and there are several fast-food places nearby for carry-outs. This is a very nice hotel, and I told the manager so."
