This area is the business district of Newport near the airport. Lot's of dining options and it's very safe walking around. This isn't close to the beach but it is easy access to shopping, dining and airport.

Definitely will visit again. We enjoyed our time in the community of Lido Park and the Newport Beach Marina. Inn located on the main drag strip lots of kids gassing their engines, stripping their gears 😂 Walking home drunk in the wee hrs. Big fun!!

It has lost some charm over the years, becoming more generic. Too many offensive political products (t-shirts, hats, stickers) in the shops of Balboa and Newport.

"Newly renovated property. My only complaint was the thermostat in room didn’t work. I called multiple times and was not able to resolve issue. I gave up since we were only staying for two night and it wasn’t terrible. Front desk did offer to switch us to a different room but decided it wasn’t worth the hassle of having to move all our stuff to another room. Overall, nice property. "
"Been Coming here for over 30 years and although its been different owners throughout the years this place is a gem! It’s nice to see the new owners keep the original colors and set up. Walking distance to beach and they lend out towels chairs and umbrellas! I will continue to come here whenever I want to stay at the beach. Love it!!"
