Meander down gas-lit streets lined with historic buildings, soaking in the town's 1900s charm. Venture into nearby state parks for outdoor thrills, from hiking trails to scenic overlooks of Pennsylvania's 'Grand Canyon'.
Wellsboro will always have that unique small town feeling. I know things change but I can always count on my favorite things, Leonard Harrison State Park for the canyon, the gas lamps, our favorite food spots, and the kindness of the towns people.

Excellent
Quaint, beautiful town even in the off season. People were friendly and engaging. The store and restaurant hours took getting used to because it was off season, but their Google sites are all up to date, so it was easier to keep on top of.

Good
The only problem with Wellsboro is all of the stores close at 5:00. So do not go for dinner and hope to shop afterwards. The restaurants and theater is about the only thing open.

Lovely little main street with interesting shops and a variety of dining option.
"We’ll definitely be back for longer than a night maybe for fall colors season. Close to scenic spots. Was really nice to be able to order a better breakfast than what hotels typically call breakfast! The bed was really comfortable. I usually have problems with hotel beds and I didn’t with theirs. Important after a long day on the motorcycle."
"My husband and i went away for a few days and stayed at Sherwood Motel. Our room was immaculate, well stocked and very comfortable. Although, i felt more towel hooks would have been nice, it did not hinder our stay. Would definitely stay again!"
