"Ritz-Carlton, Oahu, Turtle Bay is the absolute #1 resort to stay at if you ever visit Oahu. The North Shore is a place like no other and the Ritz Carlton, Turtle Bay is nestled in the most perfect location for you to enjoy the most extraordinary views, immerse yourself in the island culture, and live the Aloha values. The hotel's amenities are endless and each day that you are there, you receive a text with the daily recommended activities. You are surrounded by the Aloha spirit in every area that you find yourself within the hotel grounds. Within driving distance you have the most amazing beaches (Sunset Beach, Shark's Cove, Three Tables, Waimea Bay Beach, Laniakea Beach), the Waimea Valley Waterfall, and the exquisite little town of Hale'iwa. Be sure to visit Saylor's for coffee, right next to Hale'iwa Bowls, the famous Matsumoto Shaved Ice, and the delicious Banzai Sushi Bar. Definitely very difficult not to fall in love with this place. You've been warned."
"The staff were absolutely excellent and the room while dated was clean and comfortable and the bed was fairly new.
The biggest problem in this area is the high number of homeless population, many with mental illness. The multiple engagements I saw hotel security staff having with them were nothing short of very confrontational and gave a very unsafe sense about the entire area, Due to the quantity and the level of drug addiction in this homeless population, I would not recommend booking a hotel in this area again."
