The city is experiencing a revival. There are 2 colleges there , so there are plenty of young people to give the city a youthful feel. It has a small, very walkable downtown area and is making improvements along the river.

To be honest we didn't have much time to explore the area, but it looked like a decent neighbourhood. We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn.

New RPI parent here and learning my way around Troy. It's a great area.
"So close to SPAC. We were there for a concert. They do not offer early check in so don't try. It wasn't a big deal for us. There is a great brewery leas than a mile away. Check in was a breeze, room was clean and bed was comfortable. They do have a running shuttle for SPAC and other area activities, we did not use it. My husband left 2 shirts and surprisingly on our way back thru we stopped in and they had them. That is a first for us. Overall a great stay. "
