Immerse yourself in nature and spend the day at Victoria Falls National Park, located 2.9 mi (4.7 km) from central Victoria Falls. If you like Victoria Falls National Park, you'll love Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, just a short drive away.
Commune with nature and explore Zambezi National Park located 9.7 mi (15.6 km) from central Victoria Falls. Why not take a stroll along the riverfront and watch the sunset while you're here? If you like Zambezi National Park, you'll love Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, just a short drive away.
You might want to get your camera out and head to David Livingstone Statue— just one of the landmarks located 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from central Victoria Falls.
Witness the raw power of nature as the Zambezi River plunges 108 meters into a misty abyss. Brave the 'Devil's Pool' on the edge of the falls or take a scenic helicopter flight for heart-stopping views.
The city of Victoria Falls itself is in the middle of a National Park. As such we were advised not to venture out after dark to avoid roaming wild animals. Most restaurants are 10-15 mins walk from the lodge and requires transport late in the day.

The Falls themselves are nothing short of incredible. Outside of the park you could feel the struggles in Zimbabwe. Bring cash because the ATMs are frequently out of it, and payment by card is only sparsely possible (systems being down).

Take the helicopter tour over the falls. 15 minutes is all you need. Amazing view. It's very hot and humid when walking through the park and very few rest spots. It's expensive but worth doing both views.

We felt very safe going to the falls, both on the Zimbabwe and Zambia sides. We walked from the falls to the Lookout Cafe, then taxi'd back to the hotel. Everyone there was very nice.

Helicopter ride over the falls definitely worthwhile. Walking tour of the falls incredible. Bring a raincoat. Chobe National Park goes into Botswana so be sure to get a DOUBLE ENTRYVISA or Kazu VISA.

You're a walking dollar sign. Make sure you have cash for a visa at the airport as they do not take card. Entrance to the falls is expensive, but they are worth seeing. Keep an eye on your card, transactions show as declined on receipts, but charge

Cute and very safe little town Lots of people wanting you to buy, just ignore them if you're not interested. Visit the fairly new distillery and 3 Monekys. The brewery was unfortunately under renovation. Definitely worth a visit!

Know when yoi are visiting. In Oct/Nov, the Zambia side is dry and the Zim side is stunning but not as swollen with water.

"I love how cute this property is. My room had a gorgeous mural, and there were other murals around the property. The bathroom was nice with a stone stand-up shower. It was difficult to communicate at times regarding booking excursions, however we overcame the communication issues and they were able to book two excursions for me. "
"Great lodge in the northern area of Victoria Falls, maybe 2 miles from the falls themselves. It's a $10 taxi ride from the border crossing, or you can walk it easily if you don't have luggage. I walked from the lodge to the falls and back in a morning and walked back to the border in the afternoon. Wonderful indoor/outdoor restaurant, clean rooms, very friendly staff. My stay was excellent. Only one night, but I wish it had been more. "
"Great property and super nice service. The breakfast was good. They helped coordinate our taxis and our excursions. Was a little noisy at the neighboring properties on Friday and Saturday night. The roof doesn’t deaden the sound that much "
"Beautiful grounds and buildings. An oasis of luxury. Food, service and presentation all excellent. Visits from bush buck and warthogs off my patio and pool. Fantastic place "
"We absolutely loved our stay at Kabakwe Guest Lodge. Our beds and bed linens were top notch. The pool and pool bar were among our favorite places to spend time outside of our busy touring schedule. Breakfast was fast and covered both continental breakfasters and full English enthusiasts among my gang of friends. I cannot say enough good things about our stay! I loved ho0w small the lodge was and how much communal space there was, under a lovely canopy of trees."
"As always, we loved our stay at Lokuthula, thank you :) The layout works very well, the location is fantastic and the staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Rufaro and the rest of the reception team for being so lovely when we arrived and told them our luggage was lost. They were so kind offering to help with that issue. Another big thanks to them for giving us the furthest lodge along when we asked for somewhere quiet. Pity about the constant helicopter noise!
One little criticism is the shower curtain. It doesn't work very well and no matter what we tried, the floor was saturated after we showered.
Other than that, we can't wait to return and spend more time with the special people and of course we look forward to the daily visits from the bushbuck and warthogs :)"
