10/10 Excellent
"Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Quickly checked in and offered a complementary coffee (we also bought a delicious homemade cookie). Left a bag of laundry with reception which was ready before 8am the next day.
The walk around the grounds is beautiful. The breakfast is a nice variation from the typical, we really enjoyed it.
Thanks to all the staff."
"Maggy was incredibly helpful. She accommodated our late arrival and she went out of her way to let us know before we left that a portion of Ring Road had been washed out overnight by a storm, which made it impossible to get to our next destination. Her kindness in letting us know gave us a chance to head back north around Ring Road to make sure that we made it back to Reykjavik in time for our flight. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit."
"The area is beautiful! The hotel is in a very private treed area overlooking a lake. There are lots of birds. We enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the lake. The rooms are modern. Ours did not face the lake and guests could walk by and look into the room if the curtains were not closed. The restaurant was quite good and so was the included breakfast. "
"This location is a bit off the beaten path. It is about 1 hour off of the Ring Road and you have to drive up and over a fjord to get there. That being said, the resort rooms are spectacular and the views getting there, and also from the rooms, is spectacular!! There is nothing else really in the town at all, so it is very secluded and that is the only downside (or, upside depending on if you are looking to really get away from pretty much everything else)!"
"The check in at the main area was very easy. The room was spacious and homey. The bathroom floors were heated and the shower was amazing. We really liked the small feel of the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t included but was reasonably priced and delicious! "
"Rooms are small, but the community kitchen was nice and it was located near local restaurants. The views around this area of the mountains and waterfalls is stunning!!"
