Lots of lobster and seafood places. Tons of trinket shops. During peak season, I would not want to drive there. Roads in and out are only 2 lanes so always backing up. Glad we were there in the shoulder season - after summer and before color tours.

Great town to visit for a weekend. Many places to eat, and activities, within walking distance, nature cruises, kayaking, ETC, and the Main botanical gardens are just minutes away....we will return

Adorable town. Very fun to walk around and poke into the various shops and view the boats on the water. Enjoyed walking the bridge across the water.

The puffin tour was fun, although not very close up. Windjammer days meant more boats to look at.

We still consider Boothbay to be unspoiled. Much more relaxing and uncrowded compared to say Kenny bunk port which we no longer go to because it's too many people too expensive to park. Boothbay and the friendly welcoming people.

Boothbay Harbor is a small and pleasant town where wonderful places are all within walking distance. Prices are reasonable. It's like a less pretentious anbd more comfortable Camden

Boothbay was a great New England town. small enough to not be overly crowed yet large enough to have plenty of dining and shopping options

It was already shutdown for the season. It was quiet, and peaceful. Not a lot to do... To be fair, we probably enjoyed it more than we would have if we came mid season. We live in a tourist town so enjoy when the out of towners leave.

"A very pleasant facility, clean and convenient to Boothbay harbor. The room and the bathroom were perfectly adequate and the staff were friendly and professional."
"My husband and I most wonderful experience at Topside Inn, a true gem in Coastal Maine. From the moment we arrived, we were completely impressed. The location is unbelievable, purchased on a hill overlooking Boothbay Harbor. The Inn itself is beautifully designed, elegant yet relaxed with an effortless coastal charm. What made our stay truly exceptional was the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond at every turn. They were welcoming and attentive. And the little touches made all the difference. Complimentary snacks and beverages were always available. The house baked cookies were amazing, and the included breakfast was nothing short of outstanding.

"Lovely house with great wraparound porch and gorgeous plants & trees. The lilacs, which I love, were blooming which was absolutely delightful - so aromatic and beautiful!
The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby.
A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros and posette - incredible! ...The kitchen is down the hall from the rooms so if you wish there are opportunities for social time.
The only thing that I'd recommend as a future update - as with many stately old New England homes, the bathroom could use a refresh - including some new caulking."
"We enjoyed our stay at Spruce Point. The amenities were great, the food was delicious, staff were kind and courteous.Housekeeping was awesome, we received service daily which some hotels do not do anymore."
"The inn is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. There is a restaurant on the property as well serving seafood meals and pub food. The only thing we didn’t realize is we had to park across the street down a small incline. We parked there after unloading the car but when we went to park there a 2nd time someone asked us to move. Overall, the inn is clean, quiet and fairly priced for its location. "
"The owners continue the decades-old tradition of offering a quaint, comfortable motel with a 1950's feel, at very reasonable prices. The staff is always very friendly, accommodating, helpful in many ways. The location is superb, set within a minute or two walk from the center of Boothbay Harbor. Mid-Town Motel has become a cherished place for visitors who have been returning for years."
"Great little 1 night stay. For an older building i was pleasantly surprised at the size and condition of room, especially the spacious bathroom. All very nice. Only downfall is very tight parking which can't be helped wirh limited space."
