"This was a beautiful hotel in a walkable area with transportation nearby. Quickly get to Nishiki Market for good food, and the Gion District for sight-seeing. I stayed in a room with a private onsen which was amazing for recovery after walking all day. Hotel has a beautiful lobby and rooftop with a foot bath. Room was very large with a seating area to eat, a balcony, and little entryway. Fridge came stocked with drinks and there were also snacks to enjoy. "

Was so nice returning here at the end of the day with all the tourists around you it’s just one simple door from the street and you’re transported to the oasis of Sowaka. "A couple blocks away from the busier part of Gion, but a short walk from public transit, shops, restaurants and bars. Conveniently next door to a Family Mart and nearby Yasaka Shrine. Stayed only for 2 nights, but was satisfied with my short stay in Kyoto. "
