"Great location for the hotel to see both the Shinhotaka ropeway and the Kamikochi park. Inside it was clean, quiet and, of course, great private onsens. 2 indoor and 1 outdoor. Water was very hot, but relaxing. Will definitely book again if we're back here"

"We stayed at this ryokan for 3 nights and we loved it there! It is family driven and has such a lovely and local feeling. Our room was big, authentic and had a really nice onsen. We received the best breakfast every morning, it was the best we ever had. We also had dinner there 1 night, and it was such an experience. "One of our highlights during the time we spent in Japan. This is a cozy traditional Ryokan. The building is a little older, however that only adds to the charm. Staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. They also offer great dining experiences, where we enjoyed the BEST dinner of our entire trip. Additionally, the private onsen areas were sublime. Views and location is also stunning. Super happy we decided to spend two nights here and strongly recommend!"

Our dinner and breakfast were served in a private room, and the room has provided the toys to kids so that we could enjoy the food. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend if you are driving and wish to escape from a busy city. "

The half board dinner and breakfast were excellent meals and they accommodated our vegetarian diet (with advanced notice). And best of all the numerous hot spring options were so relaxing and amazing. Had we known it would be so great we would have stayed longer!!"
