"The hotel is exceptionally well located. It is literally just steps from Gare Part-Deux, and the Rhône Express which goes directly to the airport is also at the hotel’s front door. The food market Les Halles is a 10 minute walk away. Despite this great location, the hotel is very quiet. They also gave out a sample of some excellent-high end chocolate one day. It was so good that I went to the shop to get more. They provided a baby bed, which was clean and in very good condition. "

The standout feature was the magnificent old world elevator with glass sides. Overall, the Carlton Hotel Lyon was the perfect package!"

"This hotel was in such a great location! Right by the train station and the Rhône Express. There are lots of buses and access to public transportation nearby. The staff was so welcoming and the hotel was clean and stylish! The room was small but extremely comfortable and clean. We stayed for 2 nights and I would have been happy to stay longer. "Words do not do this hotel justice. The view from this 16th Century Fort, that has full, modern amenities, was beautiful. The courtyard that houses a cocktail & wine bar, along with a local food truck, was a perfect way to finish the day after walking throughout Lyon. The staff was extremely helpful, and the breakfast was a lovely spread of local ingredients. There is a beautiful, outdoor breakfast area, that overlooks the Rhone river valley. Our room was small but large enough. It was clean and serviced every day. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We Would definitely stay here again. "
