"This was the best hotel I have stayed in Japan, and it was located in a quiet and peaceful area. Despite this it was walking distance to gion and major tourist attractions in Kyoto making night strolls very convenient. The room was super super spacious unlike most hotels and it was a very comfortable stay. It was clean and I particularly enjoyed the tatami style room, which was very relaxing at the end of the day. We also used their spa service, which was much needed given the amount of walking...

"Very central location. The staff is super helpful! If you like to have the option to socialize in the lobby area, this is a great place to stay. Make plans with randoms and do all sort of weird stuff. I will definitely recommend this place, and will be back if Im in Kyoto again."
