Forshaws Hotel – Blackpool
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay for our small family holiday.
The family suite was spacious and the beds were comfortable.
The view was spectacular, of the North Pier. The location was ideal with bars and cafes all around us. The hotel had a small bar for drinks too.
The only thing that could have done with some improvements was the shower and windows. It was a very windy couple of days and the outside windows didn’t shut properly. There is inside glazing too to help with sound and regularly that would probably have been fine. The wind just made them shake a bit which we could hear.
We are heavy sleepers so I didn’t really matter for us.
The shower could have done with the shower cleaning up a bit, maybe the grout could be painted over to make it look cleaner. It was clean but it’s just been well used.
We had a great stay. It was our second stand we we will definitely stay again. "
"Love this hotel, my favourite, we have a wonderful sea view, lots of space in our room, quiet hotel, nice bar area and good entertainment. Comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast in a lovely dining room, brought my friends here and they loved the victorian feel and its grandeur. Good staff too. Keep up the good work imperial "
"
We stayed at this amazing hotel for our wedding anniversary on the 1st of August for 2 nights. The staff in all areas were out of this world and could not do enough for us especially in the restaurant and I have to give a special mention to Derrick who is incredible and takes a lot of pride in his work and it shows. The food on the first night was one of the best restaurant meals I have had along with impeccable service. My wife had the chicken and said was the best she had eaten and I had the local lamb which was full of flavour and delicious. Then on the second night they surpassed themselves again. Never thought possible. I ordered a blue fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife same but medium again cooked perfectly. The desserts were also to die for. Being a chef this is a great compliment to all the restaurant and kitchen staff
Also the breakfast was wonderful plenty of choice from cold buffet, cereal , bread and pastries and then a choice of cooked to order breakfast with locally sourced ingredients the buttermilk pancakes were delicious and the full English. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with great bathrooms and very comfy beds. The housekeeping was impeccable also. Our view was amazing was a view of the lake and gardens from all windows stunning. The leisure club is a joy with a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and good sized pool with plenty of seating inside and out. They also gave us a free room upgrade, champagne and chocolates "
"We had a fabulous weekend, the room was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was utterly amazing, hot food absolutely delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. There's a few marks and scuffs around the place but for what you pay it's incredible value for money. We will absolutely be returning! Only negative for me was there was only a bath, not ideal for washing your hair. A quick trip to Sainsbury for a jug solved that problem."
"Staff were brilliant, very professional, polite and helpful all staff had a smile and would always acknowledge you. All needs catered for. We had one issue but was rectified straight away. We will defiantly be coming back."
