Teignmouth is a traditional seaside resort and was surprisingly busy for a Saturday in November so appears to enjoy a good community feel. Plenty of places to eat and drink and a walk along the seaside wall beside the railway is always a pleasure.

Bus services were very good and easy to get about. Its very hilly making it hard for elderly and people who have walking difficulties. Also wheelchair users. It was very clean with no litter, locals were very friendly and helpful

Loved the seafront and it felt very unspoilt. We walked to Dawlish which we highly recommend and got the train back.

There are lots of NT and English Heritage properties to explore. Take the ferry to Shaldon, walk around and visit the zoo. Go to Torquay and visit the Kent Caverns and go on a boat/bus/train trip to Brixham/Kingswear/Paignton.

"A decent hotel with good, spacious rooms for a family of four. The staff were lovely and the breakfast options were great. My children especially enjoyed being able to make their own waffles with Nutella. We had a great stay."
"I love the concept of sustainability here and it has been implemented extremely well, whilst maintaining high standards. The tea/coffee/hot chocolate area on each floor rather than in rooms gave more variety, better quality and the refillable water bottle in the room to use for the filtered water at the refreshment station was excellent.
The bed was so comfy and the room was excrptionally bright, airy and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming!"
"The hotel was on the sea front, rooms were spacious and the bathroom had a walk in shower. Breakfast was good and the evening meal was very tasty. The price was reasonable and I’d recommend this hotel"
"We really enjoyed our one night stay. We had a twin room overlooking the atrium, which we booked using Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Our room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed making use of the gym and spa facilities, which were included. "
"Arrived and greeted by the most incredibly kind staff. They really couldnt have given us any more to make us feel welcome. Want to give a huge thanks to Robin on reception. My husband has a neck injury and the staff even offered to get pain medications from the local Pharmacist for us.
The food in 1881 resturant within the grand hotel was delicious and served by Felix. What a kind gentleman he was also. Even making my young boy happy by giving him free mocktails!
Both inside and outsoor pools area great addition to our stay, the breakfast is tasty and always left each morning with full bellies. We will definitely be coming back. We were so sad to leave today. Thank you all for a wonderful stay "
