"Staff are always lovely. Most have been there years. We had breakfast and evening meals on our 3 night stay. Always good quality food of generous portions. The room was quiet, comfy bed, clean, good quality linen etc. Bathroom although clean, could do with an update. Shower was over bath which is not great, shower screen didn't do anything and water was over floor. The bath panel was ruined because of water ingress. Wouldn't stop me staying again, its probably one if the nicest hotels in area, I've stayed in other rooms which have normal shower."

"lovely hotel in a good location close to the main Betws Yr Coed where there is a good choice of restaurants, pubs and shops. only 7 mins drive from Pen Y Pass car park and approximately 12 mins to Snowdon railway"

"The hotel was clean, the room was modern and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. However, we were unable to use the pool because the pump had broken that day. Given that the pool was the reason why we chose that hotel this was disappointing. That said, when I raised the issue with management, they were polite and offered a reasonable partial refund, so very positive. My main area of complaint however, is that check in was not until 4pm and check out was at 11am. Why should it take 5 hours to clean a room? This wasn't mentioned prior to booking, neither was an additional charge for use of the car park. Cost for 3 rooms for one night was in excess of £500. I would have expected the car parking to be free. "

"Breakfast ex. first day 2nd day it was left under the lights to long and was very dry All staff were ex, very friendly and helpful.Bed room was very clean and large and very well presented.I have a thing about coat hangers WHY do we have to have those terrible anti thief things surely people dont pinch hangers?"

"The actual hotel was lovely particularly if you are looking for a certain vibe. It was a well renovated country house that was a delight to stay at. The main issue is that the location is not near anything and feels a bit remote. The grounds could use a little attention as well, but this is of lesser importance. The family who operate the hotel are invested and are a delight"
