This is one of many reviews that I'll be leaving for this place as I'll be writing them on different platforms as well.
This resort far exceeded my expectations as I read the other reviews prior to arrival, particularly the negative ones. Let me tell you, the negative ones are just completely irrelevant. I'm an American from Tx, I know what it's like to feel entitled, and that is all those negative reviews were.. They were entitled people who expected to feel like they were in the most luxurious place ever. As luxurious as this place truly is, it is no place for you to EXPECT luxury. If you don't want to eat meals in a beautiful tropical hut with nature (birds) around you, then do not come here. If you expect completely modern architecture with the newest model rooms and appliances, then do not come here. But if you expect the true island experience with beautiful older architecture, beautiful turquoise waters, along with the most beautiful people you can meet, then please consider this resort. The staff are some of the hardest workers I have ever met, not only do they work hard, but they do it with a smile on their face.. That is a luxury that I'm not used to back in TX. It truly is beautiful and almost makes me shed a tear thinking about them as we really do take so many things for granted in the US. They all speak excellent English but please have the respect to communicate with them in their language, even if you're not fluent. Thank you.

Secrets Aura Cozumel - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"They are doing a lot of work to this property and are doing a way better job in seperating preferred and non-preferred guests. I like what’s going on there. Been going for 5 years and it has turned a bit of a corner it seems"
"Everything was great about this hotel. It is about 5 min cab drive from the ferry. Very clean, the stuff is amazing, fast and very polite, entertainment is good. We found that food is very tasty. Lots of healthy options! The buffer is inside ( I was happy about it). The coffee shop is good. The drinks are not bad as well. There is no beach, but it is a waterfront and you can swim using a ladder. The water was beautiful and we snorkeled every day. The AC in the room worked well. I used the gym for the first day. It is a nice facility. It was closed for the remaining of my trip( renovation?), but I was able to run outside early in the morning . Felt like a very safe island. Cozumel is beautiful and we have zero complaints about this resort. Thank you"
"We absolutely adore this property! We visit this location a lot with our adult children, and it consistently ranks as the best place on the island. While I won’t disclose the names of any hotels, we’ve stayed at all the major ones and keep returning to this particular hotel. During our last stay in July, my daughter’s 21st birthday was celebrated, and they went above and beyond to plan the most extraordinary day. We embarked on a yacht adventure and indulged in the most delectable birthday cake we’ve ever had! If you have the opportunity, don’t miss out on the chance to stay at this fantastic place!"
"Everything was amazing. Made friends with one of the staff in the gym named Gerry. He was very friendly as was all the staff. Food was amazing. Property and room was very clean."
