The Rose hotel is very good value for money and is in central Chinatown if that’s your thing. Unlimited (Chinese) food options and close up the station to explore the rest of Yokohama and greater Tokyo. The hotel is slightly aged but still has its charm with friendly and helpful staff.

It was a stop on the bus route from Haneda Airport. There were many dining options and a convenience store nearby. I was particularly impressed with the great service and personal attention of the staff at the reception counter and that of the bell captains. Personally, I would like to thank Junko ( the gal with the “Kiwi” accent) for her concern and exceptional service.

中華街のレトロでエレガントなホテル

こちらのホテルには以前も泊まったことがあり、再訪でした。屋上プールは今となっては貴重な存在で、是非体験したかったので、朝利用しました。古いホテルなので、現代のハイテクなホテルとは異なりますが、私はレトロな雰囲気のホテルも好きなので問題ありませんでした。セキュリティもしっかりしていますし、スタッフも親切に対応してくれました。

海外でバックパッカーをしてた時にいいホテルに泊まった時の感覚。まずエアコンがつく、明かりがつく、温水が出るという日本では当たり前のレベルの話。 日本にずっといて宿泊、となったら平均より下回る評価。水回りを一番にチェックするのですが、バスルームに置いてあるバスタオルに茶色いシミを発見。そして臭いが、、、(想像にお任せしますがその想像の通りだと思います。) 前の宿泊客の使用したタオルをそのまま畳んで掛けておいたのでしょうか？今まで日本ではそんな事がなかったのでトラウマレベルです。 交換をお願いするもなかなか来なかったです。 上の部屋、隣の部屋の騒音がめちゃくちゃうるさく、寝る時にかなり迷惑でした。 提携している近隣の駐車場も近くて、中華街の真ん中というとてもいい立地にあるのでアクセスが便利な反面、とても残念でした。 モーニングでは中華がメインなのか麻婆豆腐や、中華粥がいただけて美味しかったので、トラウマレベルの一件がなかったら良かったなと思いました。
