Old and musty

The VR Auckland Airport Hotel is very rundown and needs renovating. My room smelt very musty, however the bed was comfortable and the room clean. The hotel security was non-existent with side external doors left permanently open, even though a code was needed to get in the front door.

Clean, Quiet, Convenient

We need somewhere to have a good sleep after a late arrival. It was really easy to check in. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Quiet enough area. Airport transfers were easy and convenient. Staff and service were great. Would stay again.

Went downhill from morning

My check in was great, exactly what you want when arriving at midnight. Slept well but unfortunately woke up to bites, brown tap and shower water (hot tap only) and a cockroach on the wall. Rooms really need better cleaning.

I walked down the road from VR to Mangere village about 2 km lovely evening stroll .Early flight next day reason for stay..Hill walk nearby there. Free Shuttle airport service is 100% great.Shared bathroom in hallway very good.Full shared kitchen on site up hall. Room cleanbed comfy and quiet and private . Parts of second hotel now joint management on site being upgraded in areas near lower cost room I chose.Not an issue to me. Great pool and grass area would be fab in summer with kids.

It was unique by virtue of the house was nearly falling down but still charging people to stay there. The service staff changed our towels, left us no hand or face towels. The tv did go (surprise) but no remote. Stains on bedding. Great puddles in driveway (kept us awake as vehicles went through middle of night). Paint peeling off ceiling, just awful. I'm sure they won't print this.

If you care about your well-being DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. Its so mouldy and the bathroom floor is unbalanced and creaking due to mouldiness. The carpets are stained, moist and not cleaned properly. There was mould growing everywhere. I was given a heater but that heater didn’t even heat up the room even after plugging it after 5 hours - yes I did check, it was on and set to maximum heat. I was staying here for my transit and I went back to the airport early because it was more warmer at the airport than at this accommodation. Waste of money and this place is completely run down.

Unsafe, shared bathroom with no working locks on doors. Cockroaches on the walls, mail clippings on bedroom floor. Dust covering bedside tables. Holes in walls, no heating. Cold shower with no hot water! Avoid!!! Cheap but disgusting!
