The property’s location is nice for access to mid-downtown dining, etc but the area surrounding it is shabby. Generally, it’s in serious need of renovation. It was “ok” for 1 night, but I wouldn’t prefer it for longer. The bathroom had been upgraded. The breakfast was ok.

Pros: Kind staff, good hot breakfast, clean room, quiet room, comfrotable bed, good TV channel selection, strong air conditioning, very cold refrigerator. Will stay again in the future. Cons: Very low shower water pressure on third floor but good sink water pressure in the same room, smelly heater, almost zero Wi-Fi upload speed but solid download speed, poor T-Mobile cellular data in the room as a backup due to surrounding buildings, very tight and awkward parking lot to enter and exit but understandable for this part of town.

We booked last minute, and the area was fine. 5 minutes drive from downtown, didn't feel unsafe parking there, even if the parking lot is in desperate need of repair. The outside of the building is the same as any Comfort Inn, and the inside looked fine from the start. Elevator is old but functional, and the hallways were nothing exciting. The room was great -- comfortable bed, clean bathroom and carpet, refrigerator, microwave, TV. Free breakfast in the morning included waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, pastries. Would stay here again, especially considering the price saved by avoiding the downtown area. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly in check-in and check-out.

The hotel is clean and conveniently located. It was recently updated. The staff is friendly. We were disappointed with breakfast. The eggs, and tater tots, were rubbery. The coffee machine made watery coffee. It was undrinkable. We made the front desk aware, but it was not corrected. TV was minimal. But up to Choice Hotels Standard. Several channels did not work at all. Only HBO and HBO2. Room was clean. Plenty of towels. AC was loud, but did work to keep room comfortable. We were in town for a convention. The room rates were high because of this event. Paid high rate for a medium grade hotel. No pool. No amenities. Vending machine took quarters only. No cash or credit cards. Front desk did not have change. So it was useless.

The hotel front desk staff member was very kind and helpful, checking in was a breeze! The hotel is strategically located for business and visiting attractions. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was standard fair and was good. Overall, I would stay here again.
