Clean rooms Yes Clean Hotel Showers you are to die for Bed was perfect .In Tulum, this beachfront hotel stands out for its beauty. While there are many impressive hotels along this beach, the exceptional staff at this particular hotel have made our stay the best we've had in a long time, outshining our experiences at numerous hotels globally. Special recognition is due to Jose, Milo, Leonardo, and Mario, whose dedication and kindness have elevated this hotel to a luxurious oasis, with their warm hearts being the ultimate luxury. The genuine connections they fostered with us, sharing laughter and stories, as well as discussing our families, have made this vacation truly special. The exemplary service provided by these staff members has earned this hotel a reputation as a true gem in Tulum; accolades are well-deserved. These guys deserve a big bonus or at the very least a giant thank you for their services.

Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had in the world. Clean, beautiful aesthetic, friendly over the top accommodating staff. The food was also absolutely to die for. I also will be breaking my go to high end European bath products and will be buying the brand they use here called loredana. I will absolutely be back. We also walked off resort every evening very late and felt totally safe.

Hotel Ma'xanab is a charming boutique hotel with a spectacular beachfront. The rooms in particular are lovely - large and stylishly fit out; ours came with a plant-filled terrace and plunge pool. The real stand-out about this hotel, however, is the staff. They are exceedingly accommodating and knowledgeable. Particular shout-outs to Jose, Milo, Diego and the rest of the reception staff. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Worth every penny. It is tucked away in Tulum, close to some delicious restaurants. But if you never leave the hotel, you won’t be disappointed. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The service is quick and reliable. Let me tell you about the food…so delicious. Free breakfast in the room every morning, divine! Had a small pool and bed outside, which was amazing. Couldn’t recommend more…it was perfect!

Our stay was excellent, this hotel is the perfect place to unplug and relax. The property is beautiful, and the on-site restaurant was outstanding. We dined there multiple times during our stay and even returned after we had checked out. Although it was sargazo (seaweed) season and we couldn’t fully enjoy the beach club, the exceptional service at the pool and restaurant more than made up for it. Special thanks to the servers Walter, Hermelindo, Jose, and Luis who provided top-notch service throughout our visit. The concierge and hotel hosts were available from morning to evening, and both Armando and Valeria were incredibly helpful. They assisted with restaurant reservations, gave great local recommendations, and even arranged a rental car to be delivered directly to the hotel. Overall, the service was a 10 out of 10 and made our stay truly memorable. We will return.

Amazing property and people

beautiful property with friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. the food is delicious at the property and our room was beachfront with heated pool (so good), comfy bed. Minor points FYI- you can hear music from clubs, and also just nature outside so bring good ear plugs, the lighting is minimal, especially at night if applying makeup, hair dryer is pretty useless (no heat), bedding clean but a bit stained

The team at the Mx'axanab were fantastic and made our stay in mid November 2024 (10 days) very enjoyable. The hotel is in a great location, is modern in design but with a nod to Mayan culture, and feel like a high end experience. The food and drinks were good quality and reasonable priced when compared to the very high prices on the main restaurant strip. Sunbeds were always available, the beach was immaculate and it was always enjoyable walking on the beach in either direction. The hotel was very quiet at night which was appreciated due to the party atmosphere 10 minutes walk away. The team at the hotel really made the whole trip special, from the front desk team, to the beach and restaurant teams - calling out a few superstars - Mario, Milo, Luis, Luis and Hermelindo. I honestly can't say it enough of how amazing the stuff were, starting from the kitchen , beach area and of course lobby stuff Aden and Dianne . They were extra communicative, helpful and super nice. We communicated through Whatssup and they would always replay within the seconds. I would recommend this stay to all of my friends if they ever go to Tulum and of course me myself will defiently come back to this place again.

We fell in love with Hotel Ma'xanab during our 3 night stay, it only took a short time to feel like a home away from home. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the property is cozy and beautifully designed, and the restaurant was exceptional. Everything from the welcome cookies, handmade by the hotel restaurant, to the hauntingly beautiful playlist at the poolside set the tone. On our last night, we had the privilege of seeing a newborn sea turtle hatched right on their beach. It was magical! We also loved seeing how much care is put in to protecting the turtles nesting ground, and the staff's dedication to this was inspiring. We stayed 3 more days down the beach at Be Tulum, and although it is a beautiful property, there was such a high bar set by the staff at Ma'xanab, that the experience fell short. This hotel really cares about the guest experience, and it shows. We hope to make it back soon!

Loved my stay! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff is exceptional. The food was delicious, especially the complimentary breakfast every morning. The beach club area kept the music low which I appreciated since we were on our honeymoon and wanted to relax. The front desk staff was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. We were able to take advantage of the free bicycles too and ride around the hotel zone strip which was nice as well. The room was also super clean which is one of the first things I look for in a good hotel. Jose provided one of the best services I’ve experienced at any hotel yet. By day 2 he knew exactly what our interests were and how to accommodate us!!! Only two cons: no doors in the bathroom - which I’m OK with but new couples may not be and our plunge pool did not work unfortunately:( Was also slightly disappointed because I read reviews where they did rose petals & wine for the honeymoon couples but when we arrived they did not have anything planned. It was OK because the rest of the stay was amazing so we were super happy with our choice in Ma’xanab and plan to stay here again next time.

Had such an exceptional stay at Maxanab (Ma-shah-nab). From the time of booking until we left, everything was just phenomenal. As soon as our booking was confirmed the Hotel then reached out if we needed assistance with anything. Checking in was quick and communication was great with front desk and restaurant through watsapp. Our room was beautiful and relaxing and was turned down everyday. Location is good. You can borrow their bikes and visit other resorts and restaurants/shops outside for an easy 10-20min ride or less. The beachfront was beautiful but unfortunately it was seaweed season for July and we were not able to swim at the beach. The restaurant also serves amazing food! There are so many good and wonderful things about this hotel that is hard to mention without having to write such a long review so its best to just go there and experience it yourself. The only very minor thing i would change is to have their hair dryer blow both hot and cold and not just cold air. the staff from housekeeping to restaurant staff and front desk were wonderful. The ladies were helpful and gave us wonderful recommendations about where to go and eat! Here at Maxanab, its pricey but you get what you pay for, an enjoyable, luxurious and wonderful experience! This hotel definitely made our trip to Tulum a memorable one!

The loveliest boutique hotel in Tulum! The room was modern and spacious, but what really sets Ma’xanab apart from the rest is the service. Before we had even arrived, the concierges were reaching out via WhatsApp to offer assistance planning our trip. They helped us book transportation, excisions, and massages. We felt most comfortable booking through the hotel to ensure quality and safety, they won’t lead you astray. The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was some of the best we had in Tulum. Fresh fruit and delicious breakfast was included every day. They also had bicycles for us to use, which allowed us to visit the Parque del Jaguar, town, and various restaurants. The bikes were free of charge and made everything much more accessible. We loved every moment and would recommend to any couple looking for a romantic getaway. Thank you Fabiola, Valeria, and Jose or making our vacation so wonderful!
