This hotel ended up being perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, being very close to everything, the station, York minster, the Shambles and the art gallery. The restaurant was good as well, even though we only ate there the first night. We fully recommend this hotel.

Perfect location for arriving by train and exploring york. Staff were all incredibly helpful, polite snd professional. The option of being able to leave your bags with the hotel before and after check was great. The hotel staff were so helpful. From booking in when they found out it was our anniversary, they left a lovely card and treat in our room, through to booking out, always so friendly and helpful. We needed decaf hot drinks, and in no time they had then brought up to the room. The room was lovely looking out towards the Minster, and the meals great. Many thanks to you all and looking forward to our next visit.

The hotel was nice enough to hold our two large suitcases, while we travelled to Edinburgh. I don't think we would have survived Edinburgh if we had to carry around that baggage. Weird thing with return was that the room was a ways from our previous room, but was bigger with a nice bathtub.
