Basic room, clean and modern. Shared bathroom was down stairs. Breakfast was delicious.lovely fjord location. Wish the room had a TV as it is relaxing to match a movie at night when on holidays.

It was very difficult finding the office to check in. - no sign Fisherman was in a restaurant that didn’t open until 3:00. We weren’t the only ones who had trouble finding the reception. Rooms were in a different building from the restaurant which was the reception.

This is a unique property in the center of a small fishing village on the main street. The central establishment is a refurbished building with the restaurant below. There are other buildings adjacent. The restaurant and rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. It was clean, warm and decorated. Staff were fantastic; the reception, the chef and the person running breakfast were great. We had a very enjoyable stay!!!

My family stayed for 1 night in July 2025. Beautiful area, secluded and peaceful. Pros - Large room size, a nice breakfast. The fresh warm bread was amazing!! Cons - very limited parking. No elevator, this is listed in the accessibility section under property amenities.

Fisherman is establishing itself as THE brand for the area. The concept is strong but there is plenty of scope to improve delivery. Room doesn't match up to branding but clean and functional. Breakfast more limited than elsewhere - nothing hot and no pastries or prepared fruit. Excellent dinner option despite limited menu. Don't miss the sunset or the local pool. No shops or other facilities. Fjord setting marvellous.

Die Zimmer direkt über dem Bistro sind leider recht laut. Zudem wird nachts der Eis-LKW direkt vorm Fenster geparkt, dessen Kühlung läuft. Keine Zimmerreinigung oder Tausch der Handtücher. Die Türschlösser mit Code-Tastatur sind suboptimal, wenn der Code nach einem Schema erstellt ist und nicht für jeden Gast gewechselt wird. Da kann man jede andere Tür auch öffnen. Dafür ist das Frühstück schon wegen des frischen Brotes sehr gut.

A good hotel in an idyllic fishing village

Friendly staff upon check in. We were given an access code to our rooms in building across the street from restaurant/reception. Cosy and comfortable rooms, only missing a tv, but WiFi was working well. Good breakfast and definitely a place to recommend when you are in this area of Iceland.

We enjoyed our stay in this small fishing town. The fisherman hotel was small but excellent. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. The free breakfast was delicious as was the purchased dinner and desserts. It was a long drive to get there from the international airport, but we got to see the entire west coast.

Nice stay in the west fjord area

Stayed one night here when visiting West Fjord. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is supposed to start at 8:00am. We have to hit the road before 8:00am. The staff allowed us to have breakfast before it officially opens. Many thanks to the hotel staff!
