It was very difficult finding the office to check in. - no sign Fisherman was in a restaurant that didn’t open until 3:00. We weren’t the only ones who had trouble finding the reception. Rooms were in a different building from the restaurant which was the reception.

A good hotel in an idyllic fishing village

Friendly staff upon check in. We were given an access code to our rooms in building across the street from restaurant/reception. Cosy and comfortable rooms, only missing a tv, but WiFi was working well. Good breakfast and definitely a place to recommend when you are in this area of Iceland.

Nice stay in the west fjord area

Stayed one night here when visiting West Fjord. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is supposed to start at 8:00am. We have to hit the road before 8:00am. The staff allowed us to have breakfast before it officially opens. Many thanks to the hotel staff!

Dieses Hotel war gut, personal war sehr freundlich Zimmer war gut groß und geräumig Platz für 3 Personen. Dieses Hotel liegt an der nordwestlichen Ecke eigentlich das Ende von Island wenn man ein Stück ca. 2.km weiter fährt bis am Ende dann sieht man beim guten Wetter die umrisse von Grönland. Der Ort und die Umgebung ist einfach der Hammer,

Spacious rooms with wonderful staff who were incredibly accommodating. Great little bar and restaurant with good food and breakfast. This place felt wonderfully remote and away from it all. During our stay there was construction going on out our window which is the only negative for our time there.

Peaceful place to stay.

Lovely place. Quiet little town that gives you a true feeling of being in the Iceland Fjords. The only issue we had was contacting the front desk ..they provided a phone number to contact them to let us know we had arrived but our data card wouldn't let me call it so I had to kick on our roaming services from home.

The Fisherman's was a great place to stay for a couple nights. One has to remember this is a pretty remote part of the north western fjords so don't expect the Ritz. Beds were comfortable, rooms good size, super clean and the food in the attached restaurant was excellent. It was an excellent placed to be based in a special part of the world.

Very nice, clean and spacious room, staff was polite, Asked for extra bed in the room for our 7 year old and it was no problem, no extra charge. Good free breakfast and good dinner. Mjög gott gistiheimili, rúmgott og snyrtilegt herbergi - góður frir morgunmatur og kvöldmatur, báðum um auka rúm í herbergið fyrir 7 ára strákinn okkar og það var ekkert mál, góð þjónusta og vingjarnlegt starfsfólk.
