We were pleasantly surprised to be granted an early check-in at 11:30 AM, and the front desk was accommodating enough to extend our check-out to 1:00 PM. This was a first visit for our family- we spent 2 nights here and had booked 3 rooms in all. The location is excellent and we loved the fact that the hotel is directly opposite the Gurney Bay park- beautiful stretch of beach front and a promenade/boardwalk for walking. The property itself looks majestic from the outside and the common areas. The rooms were a little outdated; the carpets could do with an update as there was a musky smell all around. The toilets weren't flushing well- just an older property. The Buffet breakfast was decent and had a variety of food items. However, the service staff weren't welcoming. We had similar experience with a front desk staff as well. The complimentary pop and water bottles in the room were appreciated and a nice touch.

The rooms and facilities were kept in good condition. The Hotel I have stayed in many times over 15-20 years from time to time, although a little bit older than the new high end hotels nearby, is still extremely well maintained and the location is excellent ( relatively short walk to) near Gurney Plaza. Will probably stay again in future when visiting.
