Family trip

Beautiful resort, third or fourth time staying here and we’ll be back again! Grounds are beautiful and well looked after, staff are all helpful, professional and friendly, specifically Michelle at the front desk who was fantastic and helped us switch to a a lakeview suite for part of our stay. Restaurants have good food, private beach is on the smaller side but still a nice touch, fishing off the marina dock is great fun! Far enough away from downtown in a nice and quieter area but still only a 10 min drive away. Definitely recommend this resort if you’re in Kelowna for a vacation.

Beautiful view of the lake, nice pools indoor and out. Great for the kids. Was disappointed the board walk was being worked on and couldn't go on it, and the outdoor hot tubs not open. Other than that it was perfect for our family stay.

The staff were helpful and friendly throughout Manteo. The service and food in Maestro's was excellent. Lovely views of the lake from our room and balcony and also the restaurant patio. The room was clean. The bathroom was small and dated but the room itself was spacious with plenty of storage.

Great variety of pools and perfect location. But several things (hallways, hot tubs, boardwalk) were under repair, even with workmen patching up hallway walls during high season. I would give 5 stars if everything were working.

Consider staying someplace else

The restaurant service was very slow. The front desk staff mislead us as to breakfast room location, upstairs across the grounds. The incidentals charge was very high, $250 Canadian.

The overall property is great. Rooms are good. The restaurant is excellent. We did not use the pool as it was very windy at the time. We were unable to use the room safe as it wouldn’t lock. I only told the staff upon check out. Also the blackout curtains in the bedroom were dirty on the backside. Housekeeping staff were quick to remedy.

Staff is primarily inexperienced. Resort - main building and townhouses are in need of an upgrade. Broken tiles in bathroom or kitchen areas. Resort charges a daily fee for the use of pools and private beach; however, several locals utilize the outdoor pool and beach - each stated that they come to the pool often as the staff is lack and never does anything.

Very disappointing. Nice and clean place. But we were situated above the restaurant where events take place and was so loud. The walls were shaking past midnight. Paid a lot of money for a lake view room only to have to keep our curtains closed. Really unfortunate because it has potential

Worst hotel on Earth!! DO NOT STAY HERE

Absolutely terrible Hotel. Only one elevator for the entire hotel, super slow. Keys never worked the whole time we stayed, balcony basically overlooks a swamp. Most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in for the horrendous condition that the room was in. Litter and fast food wrappers under & behind the couch. Fridge was filthy. And the worst part was, the shower drain immediately back up into the tub, absolutely disgusting!

Staff at front desk were horrible, paid no attention. Took 40 mins for them to grab a item i left in the room , then when it did come to the front desk they didnt even tell me , i had to go to the front desk and grab it off a side desk . It was like teenagers were running the hotel.

Beyond fantastic place

Amazing views, service and location. The service is impeccable on all 3 properties. The El Dorado Hotel to the Arms and the Manteo condos. We stayed 2 nights at the Arms, and moved to a 1 bedroom at the Manteo. We were very impressed with the spaciousness and amenities provided in the 2 bedroom condos. Parking to the kitchen it was a perfect place for our family for the week. The pools, to the workout room. We needed a emergency wheel chair for my mom and the resort was so accommodating and helpful in every way. All the restaurants El Dorado for breakfast over looking the water and the dock is perfection. Maestros Mediterranean is great for happy hour, and lunch. The water views with all the flowers. We jet skiied from the El Dorado dock and all the crew are kind, helpful and very professional. Thank you for making this family holiday perfect.

Bathroom odd ball

Our stay was good, but not as comfortable as my previous stays with you. The odd thing was our bathroom sink was in the room, separate from the bathroom. there were 2 of us in the room, one having to leave very early and the other one who was waiting until check out. Made for a very noisy morning for one of us!

The boardwalk was closed for renovations during our stay which was very disappointing as the boardwalk was something we were really looking forward to during our stay, we wanted to walk along it on the water. I wish I would have known ahead of time that it was closed as I probably would have booked somewhere else to stay, also was charged a $60 resort fee upon checkout after already paying $509 a night. The room was very dated/very old tv for such an expensive place to stay, also saw a couple spiders and long hair that wasn’t ours on the bed. Bathroom area was tiny. The gym was pretty nice, and the beds were quite comfortable. Overall quite disappointed in how much money we spent to stay here and it was a let down.

Our room was noisy at times with a vibrating noise from somewhere even during the night. The staff at El Dorado Hotel serving breakfast were not very practical and professional. I also received a ticket from indigo while staying there which made me really upset and stressed out. The manager of the hotel did not attend to it right away by sending me a text message mentioning the ticket has been taken care of. But overall, everything else was fine. This was the first time I was staying at this hotel.
