We loved our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the best part of the hotel is its location. It is close to all public transportation and the lake. The staff was very helpful and nice. I would strongly recommend this property for a comfortable stay in Lucerne.

Great location, clean and and well maintained. This is a virtual checkin hotel. So be prepared to have a pin to access front door and use a tablet to check in and get keys. Staff answered the phone quickly when we needed help.

There were 2 issues that resulted in my fairly poor rating. The primary reason is that it was very noisy. It literally sounded like there was a person shuffling around in the room above almost non stop for hours. I think it finally quieted down after 1 AM. I messaged the hotel and got no response. We got 4 hours of sleep at the most. Second issue is that this is a hotel with no staff present. You check in electronically so you’re on your own if you need assistance. I paid almost USD $400 for one night here. Half that would’ve been a reasonable amount for a self service hotel. The location is great but I simply can’t recommend this hotel. Very expensive for a terrible night in Lucerne.

We loved staying at Hotel Schlüssel. Great location- walkable to shops, restaurants, bus, train and boats! It was especially nice to have the complimentary beverages. Our only regret was the restaurant was not open on Sunday and Monday. But our desserts on Saturday were delicious.

New room, clean and big. No A/C but walking distance from lake and train station. Excellent location, the only reason I don’t scored 5 stars is because they forgot to tell us that water was available at the 3rd floor (had to walk 30 min to find an open store since it was a holiday. Would I stay here again, yes.

Everything was adequate in terms of the room and amenities. When it’s the second oldest building in the city, you can’t expect it to have all modern amenities. The bathroom layout with buying door did not provide much privacy. Overall, nice day great location.

At first I was a little concerned about the self check-in process, with no staff on sight. We happened to check in the same time as another group, and it all went smoothly. Our room was spacious, simple and clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower/bathroom was good, and the location of this historic building was ideal. The portable air conditioner worked great. (No TV, which was fine). One of the floors has a fridge filled with bottled water, cans of Coke and beer - at no charge. This was a nice bonus. I would stay here again.
