Most beautiful small hotel. White domes and secret stairwells cascading down the hillside, spectacular views of the bay everywhere. Glamorous pool further down the hill overlooking the beach. Spacious comfortable rooms each with large well furnished terrace. We splurged on one with private pool on a second lower terrace. Good food, great drinks, considerate staff. Our second visit and many more to come

Peace of paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta Real. The location, the rooms, ocean and pool are excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. The only negative would be that it definitely has reached the age where it needs some major refurbishment. Mostly the exterior areas. There is a lot of cracking in the sidewalks, rotting of planks and posts along the walk ways. For that reason the resort is a little overpriced. The restaurant was excellent but again overpriced. With the numerous restaurant options in Huatulco that have excellent food at half the price it is hard to justify eating at the hotel anymore than we did. We did have a very peaceful 8 nights on excellent beds and surrounded by beauty.

There is no doubt that this hotel scores for its location above the sea and quality of its grounds. Then the rooms are large and very comfortably equipped. Overall making for a peaceful experience. The restaurant service is excellent from a reasonable menu and not too much more expensive than eating out. Our disappointment was really the internet access - impossible to keep a connection and with all service lost for hours on two out of 4 days - very frustrating.

Very nice property, but very poorly mantained. It needs more personnel to be able to offer prompt services. You should have your own gym. It would be nice to have an exclusive hotel area on the beach with special facilities, similar to the pool area. The air conditioning works, but does not respond to the control. In the morning you wake up with sweat, since the air conditioning does not cool well in the morning. May be the hotel turns it down. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The swiming pool needs comlete renovation and good mainteinance, also on the slopes bellow it. It is not nice to look out of the pool and find all sort of garbage right bellow. The central pool area is very nice. We had also a very good dinner at the hotel.

A bad start when the airport transfer booked through the hotel failed to show leaving us to make our own arrangements. On arrival the front desk staff had no clue when our room might be ready and no idea what we could do in the meantime. In the end we had lunch while we waited. Returning here after 18 years we conclude little or no maintenance has been done in the intervening years. Food was disappointing and while the rest of the hotel world has moved on QR has not. The beach service was almost non-existent and while others have non-motorised water sports as standard, not QR, sadly. They hosted a large local wedding on Saturday and failed to make arrangements to accommodate staying guests while public areas were occupied by the wedding group. We even had to ask for the room to be serviced one day despite it having been routine previous days. We loved the hotel the first time and staff then could not have been more accommodating.

Shocked!

Service definitely needs improvement. We waited for over 40 minutes one afternoon for a ride from the beach club to the top of the hill where our room was. The manager saw us waiting and gave us a ride up in her private car! Van never came after we were told it was on its way down 3 times we ate at the restaurant 6 out of 7 days and had 2 hot meals! The others were barely warm. We were never offered a desert menu. At the beach restaurant the staff brought us drinks with no napkins or table settings. We asked about ordering something at 11:45 am and were told the restaurant wasn’t open until noon. This happened while 3 waiters were chatting by a serving table. Very surprised at the response. Safety concerns in our room included a bedside lamp the had the bulb taped with electrical tape around the wires hanging out of the socket and no cover plate on the electrical outlet. Very concerning! Lots of steps and no elevators. This may be important for guests with mobility issues.

Este hotel es increíble. Situado en una bahía muy tranquila con staff muy servicial. No es muy grande lo cual da mucha privacidad. Las instalaciones son premium. La comida es increíble con un toque local en cada platillo. No es barata la comida pero vale cada peso. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y cómodas. Lo único que desearía es que tuviera un gimnasio pero aparte de esto es todo muy bueno. Definitivamente volveré

La habitación es confortable y amplia,la limpieza regular ya que estaba buscando un zapato y le asome abajo de las camas y parece que no limpian en días. La comida es.muy cara y no es tan buena hay solo 2 restaurantes hay poca atención en las albercas no hay gente que de toallas,las bebidas son carísimas y son de mala calidad la verdad no regresaría ahí y la playa está muy lejos de la habitación hay que bajar muchas escaleras.
