The whole feeling of the hotel felt dated and in much need of updating , the advert fails to show that each side of the lovely looking building are 2 great blocks of rooms. In the room almost all of the woodwork finish was worn ,exposing the wood underneath, bathroom had cracks and felt just generally dated,toilet had a very high water level, none of this made our stay very pleasant ,this was supposed to be a nice weekend away for our anniversary,but instantly felt very disappointed when we arrived.

There's a clear divide between the more classic part of the hotel and the 'newer' section. I ended up in the newer section, which definitely feels quite tired and in need of a revamp. However, for the price paid and the requirements I had I can't complain one bit. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and the room whilst again a bit tired, was warm and clean. Does the job you would expect in the price bracket, so I really don't have anything bad to say about my stay.

The hotel feels rather tired and the rooms are not particularly clean or well stocked (tea/milk), breakfast buffet slow and kept falling behind customer service and there was no hot water in the room for a whole afternoon and evening - thankfully back on by the morning in time for shower before departure. Upside is a good location, quiet and rooms and bed spacious and comfy.
