Helpful staff, big rooms, parking on site. Stayed for a few nights in a family room and it was huge. Nice little balcony to sit out on. Building is a bit dated but location is perfect.

One Night at Victoria Hotel Newquay after festival

Stayed one night after Boardmasters festival, so very welcome to get a decent bed and a shower, twin room with a friend. Very friendly staff at check in, quiet room, good location for town and beach, walking distance to train station (which is how we travelled) . OK for the money, and would stay there again

We loved our stay at the Victoria. Please don't come expecting the most modern decor or facilities but if you are an appreciator of old school style and don't mind a bit of mildew or peeling paint, then the Victoria is an incredible place to stay in Newquay. We brought our young spaniel and he loved it, staff were so welcoming and the place has such charm, is located *perfectly* in town with wonderful sea views. We fell in love, and we will be back!

Wonderful experience. Great transportation options, close to shops. Clean room and fresh towels everyday. ❤️

Probably, once Upon a time, this would have been a Grand hotel. It needs millions spending on it to bring it up to date, but hopefully, if that ever happens, keeping its olde worlde charm. We were comfortable enough and all staff were very friendly and helpful. So Thankyou for that.
Claus, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The views and location are super, the staff was really great - cheerful, nice, helpful. The hotel has great bones, high ceilings, beautiful windows and detail, and you can see how grand it was. It’s a bit tired and needs a little refresh (pool shower better than room shower, lift is being repaired, sauna not working maybe new carpets and some fresh paint, bath refresh would be super), but it was very comfortable and we loved our stay. We would certainly visit again. Nice heated pool. Lots of space. Big breakfast.

Siya’s family visit

We had good time with a great sea view room. I must say swimming pool Is goods as well however they need to clean more in swimming pool area. Both changing room in swimming pool area are very old ( broken wall and tiles) and not clean at all. They need to make sure they clean all the time . Suna and steam room are excellent. We only used one day swimming pool we stayed 6 nights. Rest I must say good and location is perfect with car park.
Sajib, 6-night trip

We received exceptional service. The staff were very.friendly and accomodating. I requested a disabled parking bay for my dad and it was set up waiting when we arrived. They also provided him with an amazing ground floor bedroom. They couldn't do enough it was an amazing stay. Thank you Victoria we will certainly come back again. I can't comment on the breakfast though as we didn't have it unfortunately, but maybe next time. Karen from Somerset

Needs some TLC

The hotel had some beautiful features but needed a lick of paint and some TLC. Alot if the bars and rooms weren't open any more, as well as elements of the facilities broken - steam room and jacuzi. The room we had was rather small but workable. This could be an amazing hotel but just not qute there yet.
Jody, 3-night trip

Great location, avoid pool changing rooms!

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Room clean and tidy. Very dated needing an upgrade in the communal/lobby areas. Carpets badly worn on stairs. Pool badly in need of an upgrade, changing rooms disgusting! Such a shame as could be a lovely hotel with great original features.

The Decor was a bit dated needed to be painted in many areas. Not in as good a condition as my previous visit 20 years ago. Staff were very nice and helpful Birds were a problem there was a lot of noise which began at 4.30 am
Christine, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

The building is beautiful but now looking a little sad and tired. However, we had a lovely stay! The room was clean, spacious, had all we needed and overlooked the sea. Our son loved going to the pool and so we ignored the work that needs doing and just enjoyed the facilities, the location near the beaches, the breakfasts and a relaxing mini break at a reasonable price. Be aware there are 79 steps up the beautiful, grand staircase to the third floor (30 to first floor) so bare that in mind if you have mobility issues. We enjoyed going up and down them to burn off the calories eaten at breakfast!
Alison, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

This property is in a great location but the condition of the communal areas in particular are a real let down.As a family with young children, we were particularly put off by the pool and dire state of the changing facilities where most of the showers were out of order as well as the policy to allow dogs, all dogs irrespective of how dangerous they are, into the hotel. On one of the days, we were so concerned about the dog barking ferociously at the reception desk, that we were unable to leave our room for 20 minutes or so.We won't stay again but have to give credit to the really lovely lady at reception who was friendly and approachable at all times.A very basic hotel that needs renovating badly!
Rabia, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

The room was acceptable for the price we paid. However we were attracted to this hotel because it included use of the pool and spa. This area was terrible. I refused to use it, because it was so dirty from the changing rooms to the pool. It was so smelly in the steam room that I couldn't go in it. We did complain and were given a small refund, but could not cancel and check out and be completely refunded. I could not afford just to lose my money. I would never recommend this place and I would absolutely never return.
Elizabeth, 2-night trip

The flushng water of toilet is not in order sometimes and the toilet door is difficult to clsed.
