I stayed at Legacy Ottoman Hotel with two rooms booked — one for two people and one for three people, with one reservation made through a third-party provider. Despite the reservation clearly indicating three guests, we were given two double rooms. This issue was not identified during check-in, and no proper solution was offered afterward. No extra bed or alternative arrangement was provided, and three people had to stay in a room intended for two. The rooms are quite outdated, and the furniture appears worn. There were also maintenance concerns, such as a loose bathroom door frame. Some basic amenities were missing upon arrival and had to be requested multiple times before being provided. On a positive note, most of the staff were polite and helpful, and the housekeeping team did a good job. However, the service at check-in was not satisfactory, as the response to the issue lacked support and professionalism. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and the property would benefit from renovation and improved guest service at reception.

As soon as I booked, the hotel guest relations team reached out. I mentioned it was a short break to celebrate my wife’s birthday and requested a Bosporus view room. To my delight, we were given that dream room, even though it was normally a higher rate. The room was clean and tidy, well-maintained considering its age. The breakfast was truly 5-star quality — varied, fresh, and delicious. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, making us feel warmly welcomed. Specially, guest relation officer Ms Salma used to welcome us every morning and had a good chat and wellbeing. We returned home with wonderful memories of this stay. The personal was nice, friendly and was helpful. The hotels front and lobby gives 5 star impression, the bed was really good. However the rooms was very noisy from the people in the lobby and corridor. Also every time someone showered or flushed in the neighbouring room you could hear it loudly. The temperature in the room was not possible to regulate and it was very warm during the nights. All that together resulted in not so good sleep and not so cheerful vacation. If you are planning to book this hotel for the spa, bring a thick wallet cause the jacuzzi itself costs 75$/person for 45 minutes.

Just not 5 stars at all like advertised. It has the potential to be 5 stars but it’s an uphill climb. My room was an atrium facing room which was boiling hot the whole time. The hotel switched the AC function off and suggested the window is opened to the hot inside atrium for “cooler air”. No fan was offered and the room was above the loud reception area. Housekeeping needs work - trash was under the bed they had just been left there, and restocking of toiletries was not done without asking. The hotel has a nice location in the old town, so that was one plus. Overall, not a nice stay and not what was advertised. I will say the concierge was the saying grace and was very helpful with airport transfer and ensuring everything was all set. The hotel has potential but I would not stay there again.
