The stay overall was ok, we were hoping for slightly better than a premier inn but that was not the case.
Check in was easy and positive, we realised that the hotel was very large. We arrived at our room which was a good size and the bed was comfortable however they were the only good things about it. There was no drinking water provided or any drinking glasses for tap water, 2 mugs were provided. The carpet was stained in places and extremely tired. The privacy sheer curtains had mould in places. The lamp on the desk had a massive stain on it and the desk didn’t look like it had been thoroughly wiped down. The bathroom looked clean on the surface but upon further inspection it needs a good scrub, there was dirt on the tap and on the shower gel dispenser( which we didn’t not use). The grout and tiles have not been deep cleaned in ages! The whole room looked like it could do with a deep clean- dusty, dirty, old and tired.
Overall that’s how I would describe the hotel.
Do not bother with the breakfast it is not worth £13. Low quality meat, cheap vegetables, terrible coffee. I’d expect more for the money. We only upgraded to having the breakfast as we were going to a wedding and wanted food before and the next day - it was a regret.
The hotel facilities were also ok, pool was nice but also very tired and screaming out for a re-tile and deep clean.
I think that when it was first build it must have been a nice hotel but now is dirty and tired.
Staff were nice.
