Staff helpful and welcoming. Excellent deal with evening meal and breakfast. Very comfy beds. Refurb going on but no problem. We were late eating due to Calais to Dover ferry customs delays but staff were obliging. Would definitely stay again

Convenient location for town centre and Shuttle. Currently being refurbished but rooms good. Main issue was Aircon which was virtually non existent and seems a pity rooms have been refurbished prior to sorting out the fundamentals. Thankfully weather quite cool as we wouldn't have survived a few weeks ago. Very polite and professional staff and good breakfast.

The hotel rooms and bathrooms are newly renovated. Very clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant area is great with an indoor seating and also a large outdoor patio and seating area - wonderful in the summer. Good food. Very dog friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to get to by car and has a car park or you can get here by local bus 502 from Ashford train station. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

After a very poor stay at Holiday inn Brighton all i can say is that this was 1000x better Jacob at check in was very very helpful and friendy and we found check to be a great. then we when for a meal and Lily the lady at the bar was also very helpful and friendy We could not have asked for more. Breakfast was alos great and not busy check out was fast and the only thing i would say is that we loved the pillows in the room and asked if we could buy them but more the pity we could not. great service and parking for thetown

Main areas newly decorated, room itself was quite worn out. Booked online as an air-conditioned room, but the temperature gauge on the aircon wouldn't change, so a bit of a warmer night than hoped. Staff on the front desk very pleasant.

Well assigned the first room and the tv wouldn’t work,assigned a second room all seemed ok,however on the inside or the shower/toilet door the first 50mm of the door was rotted away,god knows what was living in there,became obvious the next morning because the shower tray doesn’t drain,overflows onto the the floor ,obviously been doing this for years,hence the rot,also wash basin would not drain either,I took photos,but it’s seems impossible to complain to the owners,not impressed for the money.,very poor

Travel for work and experience lots of hotels, is is by far the worst one I have stayed in for a long time. Unclean, room clearly not even hoovered, walls dirty in room and corridors, smells a mix of damp and smoke. IHG should be ashamed of this hotel, I regularly use your services in the north east and not had a bad experience yet…. This property needs serious attention quickly.

I read a lot of reviews ahead of time, so was worried - but honestly, The Holiday Inn in Ashford was really perfect for me this weekend - and I am a pretty harsh critic. I was working nearby, and the combination of the incredibly helpful and kind staff, the renovated room and very comfortable bed, the working (albeit I couldn’t change the temperature) air conditioning, the nice shower…. It was everything I needed and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone else. Because of the renovations, I didn’t have a fridge, a safe, or any water, but I believe that will be remedied soon, and the bar were only too happy to give me ice and water. Also, thanks to other reviews, I knew to ask if it was possible to have a renovated room, which they gave me, and I think that made a big difference.

Annoyingly I wanted to like the hotel as [80%] was newly refurbished and it looks amazing in the most part, but it is fundamentally let down by the Holiday Inn corporation who failed to fix the Air Conditioning in over a month despite frequent complaints by patrons online and in person (I did it in person too but the manager couldn't do anything with their limited resources). I can only praise the staff there as they were top drawer material who wore the badge and ultimately it is the parent brand that is failing to address the issues still at large (air conditioning and no alternatives to cover the rooms if the aircon fails, during the HOTTEST August recorded in over 50 years).

One night stay with dogs before an early tunnel to France the next morning. Staff were friendly if inexperienced but the hotel is really tatty. Scruffy carpet, doors with frayed bottoms and patches where finger panels used to be. Paintwork peeling and air con which was ineffective and couldn’t alter the temperature. We were told this was because of maintenance works. Staff provided fans but this really isn’t good enough. God knows what it was like during the heat wave. Didn’t have breakfast as leaving really early.

The hotel was OK for an overnight stay, but it fell short of what you'd expect in a few areas. Most of the staff we came into contact with were wearing "In Training" badges, and while I don't blame them personally, the welcome could have been much warmer. New staff need proper guidance, and it showed. The room was a disappointment. Even though it had recently been refurbished, it felt tatty — the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and two light bulbs weren't working. Small things, but they're exactly the details that should be checked before a guest arrives, especially after a refurbishment. My main message is for management: pay more attention to the details, and give your young staff the support and training they need. They're clearly willing, but they're being let down. With a bit more care, this could easily be a much better hotel.

Great place to stay close to Ashford .

Very good,all staff from reception to cleaners very polite and cheerful and helpful. The room was really comfortable and spacious. The dining room was lovely,the breakfast selection was excellent and very tasty. We shall be visiting the area again in late November early December for about a week and will definitely book again with you.

Good but needs some bits and bobs

The hotel staff was friendly with a professional attitude. A mini fridge in the room would have been nice and a toilet brush in the bathroom as well. Overall a good stay considering the air conditioning which was a big plus.
